    what the ?

This is terrible terrible terrible. I just upgraded from my mini and I've been dying to use the nike ipod thing (which is great!) but now with this armband I've stopped my workouts early, switched songs accidentally, etc. all when I only wanted to change the volume during my run. The photo provided fails to show you the raised cover over the click wheel. I'll get used to it, but it's a pain to change the volume without doing something unintended. More

    Awful

I am amazed Apple even let people come out with such an inferior product and can sell it on their website. This is worse than the China toy scandal people. It's shoddy, velcro blows, and the plastic cover bends but allows little control over the touch wheel. All and all I would rather lose 30.00 in the street than to have to pay 30.00 for this armband and experience what I've experienced the last 2 months. I'm finally getting to writing this review. Hear everyone's comments...this is the worst armband made. I've seen bandaides with more stamina and appeal. More

Scratches the back of the Ipod

I don't know if any other owners noticed this, but this armband puts little scratches on the back of your ipod. If you take your finger and rub it along the "soft" material in the back, you'll notice rough patches that scrape along the back of your ipod as you place it into the case. Would have been a great design otherwise. More

    not good for exercise

i bought this armband last year and use it almost everyday at the gym and exercising. the velcro barely stays together so it always becomes loose on my arm. plus, the wrap-around strap has stretched out and now it's too big for my arm. i am currently looking for a better armband, one that will last the workout and sweat that goes along with it. Ruined my nano

    Written by SC from Edinburgh

I bought this case last summer as I wanted something I could use in the gym for running and weights without having to carry my ipod around in my hand.

The case itself is quite good, access to the controls is fine, and you can see the screen quite easily.

There are a few shortcomings though:
    1. The velcro isn't very strong so the band falls of a lot while running on the treadmill or rowing (anything that involves a backward-forward arm movement)
    2. This case does not protect the ipod from sweat. My nano gets wet from the case and has now corroded round the edges and at the dock connector. It's a real mess and has started to function erratically.

Basically the case is ok, but there's not much protection against moisture. I'm disappointed that the bad design has destroyed my nano - something I doubt Apple will want to put right!

    Normal Armband Problems but OK

    Written by SH from Kane

    Apr 12, 2009

I have had several different brands of arm bands. This armband is a replacement for a well used broken "other brand" armband.
I use a armband 5 days a week and have it on for about 8 hours a day being used while doing basic housekeeping work at a health institution. This armband has about the same velcro adjustment problems as others after lots of use. The plastic cover is about the same for making adjustments to the wheel (sound, on/off, pause, etc..)as another brand I used for a year.(requires some practice) As far as removing the Nano from the case, I only remove it about once a week to charge and it's about the same to me as others I've owned as far as getting in/out of the case. It's a tight fit to keep it from falling out I would assume.
We shall see how it works after a couple months of on/off my arm, but seems normal with the same typical problems I've encountered with at least 3 other brands of armbands over the last 2 years on a 2G & a 3G Nano and a 80Gig Classic which I also have a armband for.
