MacBook comes with a mini-display port. There are 3 different kinds of adapters to convert mini-display port to VGA or DVI or HDMI. Typically, LCD has HDMI input port. DVI can transfer only Video signals. Where as HDMI handles both Audio and Video. Therefore, if you get VGA or DVI, you need to connect an additional audio cable from your MacBook to LCD TV.
