Typical Bose Sound!

Not my first bose product but it is my first soundlink and it sounds way bigger than it is! Deep powerful bass and crisp highs... My only complaint would be that it can't be charged using USB.. It would be nice to not have to use the charging brick and 110 volts when I'm traveling in my truck or on my motorcycle. It is supposed to last 14 hrs on a charge, I haven't tested that yet. Love it! Should fit nicely into a small backpack or picnic basket:) …

Well, I sat down on deck, turned on some music through my iPhone, and knew in about 2 minutes that this speaker wasn't for me. I had read all the reviews raving about how high the volume went and how clear the sound was, and that there was even good bass response. Needless to say I was thoroughly disappointed in the output of this speaker. I felt it wasn't very loud at all, even when turned up to the highest level and distorted pretty quickly. I got it today and for $300 dollars, I'll be returning it tomorrow. It's just not worth keeping. Where's the Beats Pill XL? I knew I should have bought that when I saw it in Canada a few weeks ago. That speaker sounded great, in the store anyway. …

I wanted mobility so got the III but was crossing my fingers that the sound quality of the III would at least equal the Dock II. In my opinion it is MUCH better. I've played a variety of music from soft jazz to Coldplay and U2 and I am please with the sound output and quality. Very pleased with my purchase. …

It was a great speaker, but when it is not in use for a while it goes to sleep, severing the BT connection to the source device. If you need something that can also be used with the alarm clock feature, I would suggest the Bose SoundDock XT or Bose SoundDock III speaker. These devices connect to the iPhone using the lightning connector at the bottom of the device and will also charge the device while also directing all audio output from the device through the sepakers of the dock. This means that even the alarm clock sounds go through the dock speaker. …

The Jawbone is smaller and cannot match the sound of this device. Even if the jawbone was louder (i doubt it) it would be at the detriment of sound quality. The Bose Soundlink III is a better speaker by far. …
