Peace of mind: your iPad is safe!

My iPad is critical to my work as a physician, and I was always afraid of it dropping, breaking, or getting wet. This case solves that. It truly is waterproof, and you don't have to cover up your sensitive screen to make it so (although you can buy an approved screen protector from Zagg). The stand is easy to use. Read the directions carefully, and you'll have no problems. Not too heavy, still fits in my purse and white coat pocket, and I can hand it to patients without fear. …

This case allows you full access to the sides of the screen, unlike many others that are at this level of protection.
Not only is this case easier to hold than just the ipad, you do not want to put it down.
My only gripe with this case is the cover is hard to remove at times. once it breaks in, it gets better, but would like to see a change in this for my next tablet. Thanks lifeproof. …

I bought this bc I have a lifeproof case for my iPhone and it works great. A little on the heavy side, but it acts as a deterrent to walking around with it. It has withstood spills, spittle, crumbs, drops, and tug of wars. Easy to attach. The one thing I didn't like is the part that covers the sound switch on the side. The bit of plastic keeps slipping over the switch. I like how bc it is "nude" it's easier to use the touch screen however b/c of this you can't use any screen protective covers therefore leaving it open to scratches. …

Finest Kind! Saved me from buying a new iPad.
Received this case and a floatation device for last year from my wife as a Christmas gift. We had bought a boat the summer before, Received this case and a floatation device for last year from my wife as a Christmas gift. We had bought a boat the summer before, and take our iPads with us on the water in case business calls. Using this case and the floatations device, I have comfortably had the iPad in the lake with me to quickly respond to a business email, without having to get back on the boat.
The most important protection that this case offered me is when I set my iPad on top of my car leaving an appointment, and forgot about it before pulling away. I drove about ten miles to my home at speeds up to 50 MPH, and have no idea where or when it fell off of my car. Later in the day, my "Find My iPhone" app located my device about 35 miles away. I had the police meet me at the house that the signal guided me to (I had my business card taped to the back of the iPad, and never received a call. So I was pretty sure that there was no intent to return it to me). Got it back without too much trouble. The case was partially open from the fall, and a bit scuffed up, but still tested water-tight. The iPad was in mint condition, and worked perfectly. Three months have passed, and I'm using it right now, in the same case, to type this review.
I will be upgrading next year to the iPad Air 2 (or the latest version at the time). Whatever model it is, I will be taking it right out of the box and slipping it into a new Lifeproof case. A bit pricey?....sure. But I have learned the value of a good insurance policy. By the way, make a mental note to never set your iPad down on your car, not even for a second. Time flies, and given the right speed and velocity, so does you iPad. …

Way over priced and not user friendly

The headphone jack is very hard to access and doesn't come with an extension as other Life proof covers do. The cover does not come with a stand, that is sold separately for an extra $50 and it is useless. The cover/stand is cumbersome and unless it is carefully set up and placed on a hard flat surface will keep falling over. The cover stains very easily and is hard to clean with a satin/ textured Finnish. The sound is badly muffled and makes the case vibrate due to the water proof speaker covers. The case fits quite well and if you really have to have a water proof case then that is what it does. Although you are supposed to check the case for leaks prior to getting it wet which is a timely excercise. Not recommended. …

Bought the lifeproof case direct from them online when got my ipad 15 mths ago.. BEST thing ever!! I can cook and see recipes wit Bought the lifeproof case direct from them online when got my ipad 15 mths ago.. BEST thing ever!! I can cook and see recipes without a sticky messy cookbook, grand kids can play their games and have a snack without fear, my mechanic son can take it under the car to look at complicated wiring diagrams etc then after any of these activities the ipad can be run under the tap and dried - good as new!! The cover makes the ipad slightly bulkier than on its own, but for the protection well worth it and nice and easy to handle . Not tested its drop ability yet, not planning that one!! Bonus is great party trick dropping it in the sink full of suds- guaranteed to freak your friends out!!!!! Off to buy another today for hubby's ipad bought yesterday. Delighted to see can now buy it in apple store. …

Is there any way of attaching a strap to it?

Yes. Mine (nuud for iPad mini) came with a strap AND the case has lanyard spots at EACH corner. This Yes. Mine (nuud for iPad mini) came with a strap AND the case has lanyard spots at EACH corner. This means you can attach the strap however you would like, hanging the iPad in any orientation. I find the best is to hang it so that the cover falls down over it, since any other orientation will allow the cover to hang open while you are walking. (i.e. landscape with cover attached above).
Strap is reasonably easy to remove or attach (maybe 6-7 out of 10) and extremely secure. I wouldn't be concerned (when it is PROPERLY attached and case properly closed) about the iPad ever falling. …
