I am a professional guitar player and am always on road. I rarely get the time to be in a studio so I have to resort to portable recording. I have tried numerous products that have not worked out so well. I recently purchased the Apogee One and it has been a game changer for me! I use it on the bus with my iPad mostly and it is perfect for getting down those ideas that previously had been hard to record in a professional way. I usually don't write reviews but i highly recommened this product for the at home musician or if you're like me and seem to always be on the road. …

I also had a challenge with the first unit I bought, but Apple's customer service is second to none, so it was simple to exchange I also had a challenge with the first unit I bought, but Apple's customer service is second to none, so it was simple to exchange for another one, which so far, knock wood, works fine. The built in mic is good and handy for capturing ideas on the fly. Using the breakout cable and the xlr to plug in an external mic takes this to another level. The sound is drop dead gorgeous, thanks to Apogee's conversion and pre amps. At least as great as the Duet 2 on my Macbook Pro. It turns the iPad into a mobile pro rig. It's beautiful! Couldn't be happier. …

Fantastic Professional Grade Product at a consumer affordable price!
I was overwhelmed by the quality. Pro grade studio sound in and out for a consumer price range. There is very low distortion which I was overwhelmed by the quality. Pro grade studio sound in and out for a consumer price range. There is very low distortion which is critical in high-fidelity music recording and playback. You can here the difference. You can feel like you are in the concert room with your eyes closed. It sounds real, like 1000$ plus stereo system amplifiers. Worth the investment. …

WARNING: DOESN'T WORK WITH GARAGEBAND ON iPAD 3rd GEN
This is a good product. Unless you're the unhappy owner of an iPad 3, that is. There's a mysterious problem when you put an iPad 3 This is a good product. Unless you're the unhappy owner of an iPad 3, that is. There's a mysterious problem when you put an iPad 3 together with an Apogee ONE for iPad and use Garageband. And I and a fair few other people have reported this to Apogee, who say it's Apple's problem because the ONE works with Garageband on every other type of iPad and iPhone.
So I then went on to I report the problem to Apple. Who knows if anyone's read it or if they're ever going to do anything about it. You never can tell because nobody from the Apple core ever gets back to you!
So, even tho I'm only giving the Apogee ONE 2 out of 5, apparently if you use another DAW app other than Garageband on your iPad 3, it doesn't make the horrible noise. I wasn't prepared to fork out more money on apps to find out, so I can't tell you if that's true or not. Hoping for an Apple fix reeeeeeal soon! …
