Dislike: Excel is good if you use small files. Once your file size becomes in MBs you will face a lot of trouble, very slow processes (you can wait 3-4 sec. for the typed text appear in the cell or the filter is cleared!) and several crashes.
Transferring the exact same file to an old pc and made every thing work smooth!
I have late 2012 MacBook Pro with CI7 and 8G RAM.
technical support could not solve the issue (Mac and MS)

I was typing the word 'I've' into Outlook and Outlook wants to uppercase the the 'V', the back space stops working at the same time. There is no intuitive way of deleting mails in outlook without physically opening them. When creating a Powerpoint Chart, that links to Excel, I found the columns in the speadsheet, after I dragged for autocopy, the cell couldn't be edited afterwards and changed back to the original values. I'm getting bored of the prompt asking me to notifying the vendor of a crash. Fundamentally, I haven't put this software on my machine out of choice, it's a business necessity. Roll on the day when Microsoft isn't the business standard office suite. With the quality of this software, hopefully it won't be that long!

Never faced any problems with this version of office on my Macbook Pro Retina 2012. However when the files do get large it tends to slow down, and I hope Microsoft fixes this problem soon.

When I saw some of the, extremely, adverse comments about Office for Mac I didn't know what to do and decided to do a bit more research. I then decided to take the plunge and all of it worked perfectly. Hence my relief.

All of the individual programs are slightly different to their PC counterparts but I had no trouble setting them up. I expected problems from Outlook but it readily accepted my .pst file from Windows and everything was there including ongoing tasks, saved emails and all my contacts. A number of my files for Word and Excel were password protected but this didn't cause any problem.

    A seamless changeover to Mac!

I switched from PCs to Macs in 2006 because I started doing a lot of video and still photography.
In order to use my new Mac notebook and desktop with my company's servers I had to use Office for Mac.
I started with the 2004 version, upgraded to the 2008 version and now 2011.
I've used it on iMacs, MacAirs, MacPros and MacBooks on all the OS systems since 2006.
    It is fabulous.
No problems with Outlook across 6 or 7 different email accounts - POP, IMAP and Exchange Server.
Pretty much all the functionality of the Windows versions - better business software in my opinion, than Pages, Numbers, Mail and Keynote.
Expensive but it's been great for me.
