Then it stopped working - completely. I don't know whether Apple has created this problem to boost its own cable sales or whether it is just a bad product. But I think that if a company sells an item as an accessory, it should be approved for the phone. Either way, save your money for an Apple cord - although they seem to have their own problems.

After less than a month after purchasing this cord to replace my lost lightning cord, it ceased to work. The cord was overheating After less than a month after purchasing this cord to replace my lost lightning cord, it ceased to work. The cord was overheating the USB port and preventing my phone from charging. I suspect there was also a problem with the pins too because I had to wiggle the end around when plugged into my phone to get it to read for a charge. The only positive for this product is that it's longer than the lightning cord that comes with the phone, however that point's probably null if the product doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

I travel a lot for my work so I'm always wrapping and unwrapping my cable and this is great perfect for traveling. I brought this I travel a lot for my work so I'm always wrapping and unwrapping my cable and this is great perfect for traveling. I brought this cable about 3 months ago after numerous other lightning cables breaking where the cable meets the lightning connector. I say money well spent works perfectly no damage at all after continuous use. I can see this cable lasting me a very long time. Very Happy
