Product Information

  • Overview

    5600 dpi

The Cyborg R.A.T.7 gaming mouse uses a new-generation "twin eye" laser sensor, which reads each axis separately for pinpoint accuracy and tracks up to 5.4 meters per second. Pro gamers who favor low sensitivity with high movement speed preferences will always experience precise tracking.

    Lightweight aluminum chassis

Strong yet nimble, the solid metal frame creates a core of enhanced rigidity for the Cyborg R.A.T.7 mouse.

    Custom weight system

Change the weight of the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 to match your game play. In an instant you can add or subtract one or more of five 6-gram weights to achieve the perfect weight for a perfect feel. When you're not using the weights, you can safely stored them in the supplied storage container.

    Precision Aim mode

Use the Cyborg ST Programming Software to set your desired Precision Aim speed (mouse sensitivity), then hold down the Precision Aim button to slow down mouse movement to a level that works for you. Hit your target the first time every time.

    Five programmable buttons

Combine your programmable buttons with two regular left and right mouse buttons and you have a total of seven buttons available to punish your competition. Assign your choice of key gaming actions to programmable buttons to create your own custom profiles.

    Custom settings

Use the rocker switch to toggle among your custom DPI settings. You can also toggle among three R.A.T. modes at the touch of a button. Change sensitivity or programmable button actions in an instant and get immediate access to an amazing 15 commands.

    Interchangeable grips and palm rests

A range of three pinkie grips and three palm rests let you select just the right feel for optimally comfortable gameplay.

    Powerful Cyborg ST programming software

Change your dpi, set Precision Aim cursor sensitivity, create custom profiles for each game, assign commands to your programmable buttons, and more. Plus Expose, Dashboard, and Horizontal Scroll are all assigned to your forward, backward, and thumb scroll controls by default.

It will work flawless in OSX 10.6 or higher as well as in Windows mode via Boot Camp or virtualization software. I personally use the R.A.T. 9 which is a wireless version with my MBP 17" (early 2011).

I'm convinced it's the drivers. I don't think they are good enough to give the product flawless operation on a Mac. Simple as that.

The mouse works flawlessly with other third-party drivers, just not Cyborg's own dedicated drivers.

Good hardware let down by inadequate software.

When it comes to the software/driver for OSX the company still hasn't truly fix this issue even after a year!! I can't customize my mouse with the software as it shows some empty slot page with no more options but the "cancel" button.

Cursor isn't working properly when I'm using the mouse on OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as it would sometimes be unresponsive or even cause weird glitches with the cursor.

My hands are size giant and I was able to tweak it to my natural grip with every bottom where I wanted it to sit. Works perfect with 10.7.3 and the software lets me save 3 custom set profiles. I did one for FPS Games, Diablo 3 and CS6. I don't know why I waited so long to try one out. It's worth every penny.
