    Good but not great.

    • Written by from Groton

I'm giving this product 4 stars even though it isnt great. The reasoning is simple.
The device is fantastic in its job. It is a hub with plenty of ports to work with. It's slim build is perfect and classically in cased in aluminum.

It is however lacking in two points. It dosn't charge multiple devices at the same time when the computer is off, and can not be depended on to charge multiple devices even when the computer is on. I would at this point state that this was never a stated function of the device bad I have yet to find a HUB, this is key, that says it will charge on all ports all the time.

On a side note it was mentioned that it won't charge a IPad, this is because the iPad requires 10w charge. Apple employees should have told you from the start you can not charge the iPad by connection to your computer. I believe you get a trickle of power but that's it.

Anyways the only other thing I'd love to see in this hub would be USB 3.0 support.

Other then that I'm very happy with the unit.

    Didn't last a month!

    • Written by from Peoria

This hub didn't last me a month. After I converted to Lion, i could not even unlock my machine from sleep with the keyboard attached to this hub. I had to plug the keyboard directly into the machine. Then the hub no longer functioned. It died. More

    Powered, but won't charge anything

    • Written by from Beverly Hills

This hub, which is admittedly slim and easy to stash away, is powered but won't charge any of your devices, so I'm not entirely sure what the point is.

If you, for example, plug in your iPhone via USB, it won't charge until you also plug the hub's USB cable into your computer. If you plug your iPad in to the hub via USB, it won't charge even when plugged into your computer.

I doubt this would power a USB hard drive or optical drive, although I haven't tried.

    Its a Belkin

    • Written by from Forest Lake

It’s a Belkin, mass produced, market flooded, unreliable, and poorly constructed (soldering is well and truly below ISO standards). I have had Belkin iPad cases that have cracked, and Belkin Wireless Routers that have performed poorly and are not compatible with TPG. Their USB Hubs fit into the same category; look nice, buts that’s it. More

Nice looking hub - if only it lasted

    • Written by from Templestowe Lower

Instead of buying this USB hub on the basis that it looked good and had 7 ports, I should have read some reviews about it. They would have told me that after a few months it will most likely overheat and stop working. It has overheated and stopped working. More

    Junk

Just bought it. Didn't work out of the box. Is it the device or my iMac? This is the 4th usb hub I've owned. They just die. This one didn't work from the get go. More
