Overview
JAMBOX by Jawbone is the smallest, best-sounding wireless speaker and speakerphone around. Just place it anywhere in a room and enjoy pristine streaming audio from your phone, computer or other Bluetooth devices. Bring music, movies and all your mobile audio vibrantly to life—all in the palm of your hand.
Big sound in a small package
With an output capacity of 85 decibels, JAMBOX fills even the largest rooms with stellar hi-fi sound. Unlike other portable speakers, JAMBOX is powered by a pair of proprietary, highly sophisticated acoustic drivers that produce extreme high (twitter) and low (woofer) frequencies from an ultra-small dome speaker. They work in concert with an innovative moving-wall passive bass radiator and airtight enclosure to deliver shimmering highs and thumping lows that you can literally feel.
It only gets better
JAMBOX is the only speaker that gets smarter every time you plug it in. Just sync it with Jawbone's industry-first MyTALK online platform to download apps, software upgrades and more. JAMBOX will always be up to date.
Go anywhere and go wireless
You get the freedom to bring pristine wireless audio to whatever you're doing, wherever you want. Carry it from room to room or just throw it in your bag. No more cords, docks or hassles.
Conference on the go
With a powerful, built-in microphone, JAMBOX frees you to share crisp, clean-sounding conference calls anywhere—in the office, car, at home, alone or with a group. It's also perfect for sharing video chats via iChat, Skype and more.
It's all in the details
JAMBOX looks and feels as striking as it sounds. But with its stainless steel construction and industrial-weight moulded rubber casing, it's not just a pretty package—it's a sturdy, portable, and meticulously crafted machine that's built to blast.

Not bad...
If you are considering this product, the most important thing to do (as with any product, I suppose) is to ignore the manufacturer 's overblown hyperbole. This is a very small speaker, so there is no "earth-shaking bass," and not a lot of "room-filling sound." For a wireless speaker that's compact and portable enough to carry anywhere, though, the sound is better than you might expect. As long as you are expecting the sound of a compact portable speaker. It does have a driver inside that makes the unit vibrate with the low notes, but there simply isn't enough speaker area to move enough air to create deep bass notes that you can hear (louder volumes do provide more fidelity than quieter ones). There is one, serious, major complaint that is almost a deal-breaker: start-up, Bluetooth pairing, and shutdown are accompanied by tone and voice prompts that are OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD. If you need to turn this thing on or off in a quiet place, where you also need to be quiet, forget about it. Even covering the speakers won't shut it up. Overall, it's a pretty good product, but whether it's worth two hundred bucks will depend entirely upon how much money you have to toss around. …

An object of desire
While there are thousands of gadgets, very few have that special property of exciting the senses. This is one of them. This tiny, yet weighty package, brings a new functionality to iPhones, iPods and iPads. It provides excellent sound (relative to its small size), convenience in its portability and wireless connectivity, and a gorgeous ID. I found I carried it with me around the home to use as a crisp speakerphone. At other times I streamed radio and played my music. I'd rank it 5 stars if it were $50 less. At $200 it's pushing the value. And while the sound can't compare with a bookshelf speaker at a similar cost, it's better than any other at 3 or 4 times the volume. …

LOVE THIS!!! HOTTEST SPEAKER TO BE RELEASED!!!
This small rectangular box makes the most incredible music! Not only that, it synced so quickly that I was shocked! Music began pl aying and everyone was fighting over MY speaker! It speaks to tell you when the battery is low, it connects and charges quickly, THIS IS THE HOTTEST SPEAKER EVER, and my sons were fighting thinking they could have it.
I take it to work and it works as a speakerphone which is so much nicer then the one on my ear, the sound quality is so amazing, it's everything and more than I thought it would be.
The store had two, two when I bought one, and I think you will have to order online as the person after me who saw it, then bought the last one and it will be the hottest speaker around for a VERY LONG time!
Thank you Jawbone! I'm jammin, working and playing with this wonderful box! …- Written by Dori N from SOUTH PASADENA

Worth the money.
Jawbone really know how to make an amazing speaker. It's extremely simple to set up, and the sound is excellent. I was shocked by the small size, but all doubt washed away a few seconds later when I opened the box and it started playing music. …

Love/hate relationship after one year
Out of the box, this product is amazing. Small profile, great aesthetic, amazing sound considering its size and price-point. I was never able to get the advertised battery life, but a full charge would last a few hours at near max volume, so I was happy.
However, six months in, I started noticing charging issues and a drop in battery life.
Now, about a year in, the unit rarely charges properly, and when it does, the battery lasts about an hour. Furthermore, even when plugged into the wall or to the computer while in use, the battery still runs down, even at a low volume with LiveAudio (a Jambox software feature to enhance sound) turned off. Perhaps I have a defective unit, but I encourage you to read through the Jambox forums regarding charging (and other) issues before deciding to purchase this product. This seems like a wide-spread product issue.
I've given a two-star rating because when it works, it's really great. However, when it doesn't, it's a frustratingly expensive paperweight. I will not purchase another Jambox. I would rather spend a little more and get a quality speaker. …- Written by Edmund B from Burnaby

Will NOT buy another one at this price
This is my SECOND Jambox and only because the first one I bought essentially didn't work or if it did, only sporadically. The wor st part was the hassle I had to go through to get it replaced. Yes, Jambox did finally send me a new one but said that I would have no guarantee on it, because I refused to pay for the postage to California (from BC) - - heck, why should I when I'd spent $200 on a 'Jambox guaranteed' device that didn't work?
The 2nd one, while better, still has issues: pop and hiss like our old LPs for crying out loud! Blue tooth failure? I don't know why this happens everyday several times a day in mid-stream. Then, the delay to get it to connect with its annoying blooping noise. The amount of TIME I spend on trying to reconnect is a total pain!
On the positive side, when it's working properly, in a small space, it can sound good (not loads of volume but certainly adequate for the size). Packing up is easy: you can throw it in a backpack or purse and off you go.
In the end I would not buy another Jambox: too expensive for the hassle. …- Written by Heidi P from Vancouver
