    Limits function

    • Written by from Warrington

Bought this case for my new phone great quality snug fit however.....

If you need to use the pin adapter for charging / docking with speaks the case does not allow connection. Some headphone jacks also do not fit with the case on.

Sadly, I will be returning mine as my in car charger / headphones / very expensive Apple pin adapter mean I need to remove the case.

    Expected design better of Apple.

    Not bad...

    • Written by from Chelmsford

Really, not bad. It's actually quite a good case. However, you have to really plan if you are going to be using your phone in a dock. For instance, it definitely will not work with the Belkin iPhone dock. Plan on using the case on your phone when only using the lightning cable.
However, the fit is good and the quality is excellent. The front part of the case extends over the front of the phone ever so slightly to protect the screen if placed face down.
Oh, yes it is overpriced. But you already knew that right?

Bought this on launch day with the new iphone 5s.

As expected the quality is very good and compliments the phone perfectly. However, and only a small however... it is very hard to take off of the phone. Such a snug fit and am concerned I will damage the phone in doing so.

    Best to work the corners!

Gets ruined in just a few weeks

    • Written by from SHEFFIELD

Leather is a great and premium material, but why did apply not make this one more protected? It marks badly really easily and then looks an utter mess.

    Mine looks ruined.

    Easily marked

    • Written by from LIVERPOOL

Expensive was my first reaction. This case is an exact fit, so once it's on it's not easy to remove. Nice to the touch and doesn't add any bulk to the overall dimensions of your new device.
However, the biggest let down is the material used. Tiny print on the back of the packaging warns: 'This case is made from natural aniline leather. It's appearance will change as you use it.' and a quick Google of aniline leather will explain how it absorbs stains and dirt very easily.
After a day my new £35 case (beige option) looks old and distressed. Maybe the discolouration won't be as noticeable in other colour options?

Very grubby after a short time

    • Written by from Bolton

This case looked nice when it left the box, but after 2 1/2 weeks of use it looked approx 2 years old.........i.e. it looks really dirty and cleaning doesn't improve things.

For £35 i'm very disappointed. I would avoid buying any of the coloured cases, the black might be ok as the dirty look might not be as noticeable. Very poor - waste of £35 - taking back to see if I can get a swap.

Works but gets dirty SO quickly

    • Written by from Salford

The case works well at protection and fits the iphone fine, unfortunately the product RED version just attracts dirt like anything, mine is only a week old and already this is becoming a noticeable problem. I'm pretty surprised the item looks so bad after such a short amount of usage. Disappointing.

    Looked great to start

    • Written by from Hailsham

for the first couple of days the product red case looked great,

now it is over 2 weeks old, it looks old and dirty, and time to get a new one.
if you want your iPhone to look smart don't buy one of theses cases unless you want to by a new one every week.

    really disappointed with this,

You have let me down Apple.

Got it on Friday. Fits well round the phone, but after only 3 days of carrying it in my pocket the case is scuffed on all the edges and looks very used now.

Would rather have kept my money, my brand new 5S looks like it's at least a year old now.

    worst case ever

    • Written by from croydon

I bought the Brown leather case for my iPhone 5.
It looks good out of the box but it has an awaful texture. It feels as if its made of cardboard. It does not have the luxurious leather feel I expected for the price I paid.
This Case is a dirt magnet!
Its been in use for only 2 weeks and already started to scuff on the edges and has black scuff marks which is hard to remove.
The embossed Apple logo ( the deal breaker on buying from Apple in the first place) has already started to fade.
All the above is making my phone look tatty and not the premium look I wanted to give it.
Definitely not worth the money there are better and cheaper cases sold elsewhere.
Buy this only if you wear gloves when using the phone and wrap it in bubble wrap when carrying it in your pocket or bag.

    Short Life

    • Written by from Camberwell

I've not had the tan case for long and it's already getting dirty really easily - it seems the leather absorbs all dirt! Perhaps best to protect the leather with something. Rather frustrating having paid so much and after 1 month, its nearly ruined!

Worst £35 ever spent with Apple

    • Written by from London

I stupidly paid the ridiculously inflated price of this cover to have an official Apple product. Initially delighted - though still swallowing hard at the cost - I was soon disappointed. The product's description warns that the appearance will change with use. It does not, however, tell you that the cover - even with the phone living exclusively in jacket or trouser pockets - will look dirty in little over a week. The corners on the back of the cover are now distinctly grubby and grey-looking. If they were designed by Apple to weather in that way then I fault the design. If that's the best Apple can do with real leather, then perhaps they should try PLU? I've now replaced it with something that looks just as good, and will continue to look good, and cost me a fraction of this price.

    Bad cover

    • Written by from Subang Jaya

You proof your value at your iPhone 5s. However, I am terribly disappointed with the cover.

I'm from Malaysia and I have sacrificed every cent that I have to buy this cover. If I know it would be happening, I will definitely buy cover from different company.

Love my new phone, treated it to a beautiful new case, it looked amazing for about 24 hours. Now the case looks like it's about 5 years old...it's not worth £35. Very dissapointed.

    Do not buy this case

    • Written by from Wirral

As many others have reported, after only one weeks use the cover looks a few years old. That is with me being careful with it after reading the warning from Apple that the cases 'appearance will change over time as you use it.'

I would suggest that the product is not fit for purpose and will be requesting a refund as despite the disclaimer, merely handling a mobile phone case should not cause it to discolour in little over a week.

Brought this case for my new iphone 5S looked really nice for a few days.
BUT after a week it looked about 5 years old!
even with clean hands this case will age very quick.
I now have a very expensive smart iphone with a case that makes it look really old and rubbish!

    Beauty Fades... BIG TIME

    • Written by from dublin

Was so excited to get the beige case. After one day of use. ONE. It started to tint a darker colour. Now, the entire edge of the cover is an awful muddy brown while the rest of the case is still beige. €30 for a case whose appearance will change over time. I thought this would mean some scuffing over a year. NO. It's turning black.

This is possibly the best case I've had for my iPhone 5 and dare i say it better than the ones I've had for my previous iPhones! The feel of this case is just pure luxury. The brown case on the white iPhone just looks the bees knees.
This is the standard i expect from apple!

People who are leaving low ratings just because the case wasn't made for THEIR docking station really need to get a grip!

I bought this case along with the phone and it looked nice however it has a design flaw whereby the headphones jack does not fit through this case - it has to be help in place for the earphones to work. I tried with both bose and the apple ear pods with the same result - the slot is not big enough for the jack to go through completely.

I had to return this case, spigen neo hybrid is highly recommended.

Nice look and feel, bad longevity

    • Written by from GLASGOW

This case looks and feels like it should for the premium it costs.

However, this is where the good ends. I've had it on since the first UK internet orders were delivered, very light use, moves from a pocket to desk and is already showing signs of wear. Patina doesn't really cover it, it's just prematurely wearing. I don't think it'll last a matter of months, certainly not anywhere near the life of the phone.
