    Restrict most headphones

    • Written by from London

These bumpers are poor. Not only do they come apart easily, they also restrict the use of most non-apple headphone. Not good.

    Best case out there but...

    • Written by from SURBITON

I start by saying I love this case, there is not better case on the market in my opinion. The issue is as many others have said it scratches the nice brush metal edge of the phone. Aswell as that only the lastest official dock connecter can fit the case and with that small headphone jacks. I look after my things very well and the case lasted me to about 14 months before the bottom bit of rubber snapped off. Over time the case will get a touch loose at the time where it strechtes to be taken on and off. Over all I think its it good at what is does ir protects both sides of the phone and I still think the best "case" out their.

Looks good but destroys the phone

    • Written by from West clandon

It protects the iPhone screen and back well from any damage but in the meantime it creates huge scratches on the metal around the phone.

    Rubbish

The bumper was free, it wasn't even worth that. It's marked the phone and thankfully fallen apart. Don't waste your money.

    Get a different case

    • Written by from Braunton

Rubbish product mine fell to pieces after 3 months and it scratches the metal band around the phone to pieces. Decided I'm better off without any case at all even if the signal drops out. Its amazing how much better the phone feels without the bumper on.

    Damaged my iPhone!

    • Written by from WARRINGTON

Thought it was amazing that we got these free after the mistake Apple made, but it did nothing but fall apart on me, and once the the rubber had snapped around the headphone port it uncovered another damage! The inside gap of the band had actually dinted and tarnished my iPhone's aluminium casing. I felt angry that you spend so much money on a beautiful product, and then for Apple to skip budget and design on creating their own brand cases. Sorry, but give this product a miss. I recommend a Griffin Branded one. at least the leather won't wreck your handset

My apple supplied bumper results in no connection for my headphones and difficulty to find a network. I was going to take back the phone before I thought about removing it. first and last time I go to apple for a pohone!
    anybody want a free bumper?

Have to remove bumper to charge so splits after weeks!

    • Written by from Basingstoke

Nice bumper, works well in protecting the phone and the rubber stops the phone from sliding around / prevents dropping. Major downside is that you have to remove the bumper to charge or dock the phone (original apple charger connector not long enough), so the rubber of the bumper splits / perishes after a couple of months.

I specifically bought this as a solution to the iphone 4 antenna problem. Shame apple have designed a faulty solution as a fix for a faulty phone!

volume button fell off after a week

    • Written by from Perivale

I got my bumper for free as a 'gift' from apple and i was really happy with it to start off, but after just one week the volume button to put the volume up fell off! Now if i want to put the volume up its such a long process...for something that is asking for 25 pounds i'm really really disappointed!

    Scratches the metal sides

It's a good idea but taps others have mentioned it destroys your perfect iPhone 4. The metal band gets scratches. Happened to my i4 and my friends. Do not buy.

    Damaged my iPhone

    • Written by from Leeds

The was part of the free case due to lack of good reception. The case is loose, the mute button is hard to get to. It stops old accessories fitting to the phone and headphones with a thick fitting. Worst of all it scratch the iPhone on the sides.

    Not really for me...

    • Written by from Sevenoaks

    Pros:
    - Keeps the back of the phone off of any surfaces limiting scratches to the glass on the back
    - Does help with the antenna problem
    - ooks quite sleek

    Cons:
    - Actually scratches the metal band around the phone when putting on and taking the bumper off (big con for me as the bumper is causing damage when it is supposed to be protecting the phone from it).
    - Bumper was a loose fit at best (seems to be a recurring problem amongst users)
    - Phone looks better without the bumper imho

    Good........ish

    • Written by from Lusk

I got this free as it solved the antenna problem. it has a nice feel to it on the phone. after having it for 7 months i have noticed problems.
the rubber around the headphone jack opening is starting to detach from the hard plastic rim, this causes dirt to become trapped between cover and the metal of the phone resulting in scratches.

    Terrible

    • Written by from Weybridge

I got this case free as part of the free case program (which apple have conveniently ended despite doing NOTHING about the obvious design flaw with the phone). Sadly the phone is otherwise awsum so its not like they're going to get any jip for it. Anyway, the case looks nice enough although it does over over all the beautiful silver aluminium which in my opinion takes way too much of the look of the phone away.
I dropped the phone a couple of times while using this case and it protected the phone very well. However, after a couple of months the bottom of the case began to fall apart.
Furthermore, once i removed the case, i found friction marks all around the silver aluminium parts of the phone.
I took the phone back to my local apple store and with no complaints they gave me a new phone.

So to sum up, I would NOT recommend this case at all. Buy the black incase case for iphone 4. Keeps the phone safe, robust and great looking.

    Not really that great

    • Written by from Raynes Park

It looks nice on the phone, but then you need to have specific sized and shaped leads for it! I can't use the lead in my car to plug into head phones as the headphone hole is too small and then you have to only use an apple USB lead, which is a pain because my car charger is slightly too big to fit on so have to constantly remove bumper! A right pain!

    Should be cheaper.

    • Written by from Birmingham

I've had this bumper case for about year and it's life span is running short.

In my opinion far to expensive my friend found a better Bumper Case for a £1 and fits a lot better and is more durable.

My one has now broke and is hold together by a bit of rubber.

I chose this product since it didn't spoil the iPhone's elegant look.

But I will be going else where for my next case.
