    Love it!!!

I've been using the Magic Mouse for one day and already find it to be so easy to use. The scrolling is just great and it also feels good in my hand.

Just bought one of these to replace a wired Mighty Mouse which are now out of date and were in need of overhauling. I had previously tried the Wireless Mighty Mouse and did not like it. Thought it was too clumsy.

So far I am impressed. The mouse feels like quality in your hand. Easy sliding and just a firm, well built, quality to it. Using it and setting up was a total breeze. The old Mighty Mouse range had a cheap sort of feel to them. These are the opposite. Very very classy and no more scroll wheel to get gunged up and stop working which became very boring and tiresome with the old design.

I just wonder when they will launch a wired version of it because, as previously mentioned I think the Mighty Mouse needs to go.

Some will disagree as the Magic Mouse does not have the side or centre buttons. For me in particular I never did use the side buttons anyway and seldomly used the centre button (usually used for Expose etc.) so they are not features I will miss. I suspect only real power users use these buttons.

So to conclude the absence of the flawed scroll wheel of old and the quality build and sleek looks along with of course the fantastic usability I have given this 5 stars and recommend it. Downside: Price! Although for a bluetooth mouse of such quality and innovation it is competitive. I do not regret the purchase.

Fantastic mouse. Best mouse ever. Had mine a week now and wouldn't be without it. Very easy to set up, and a dream to use. Was gutted when I thought that I didn't have the button for expose. But have since discovered that you can set it up on there. Just go into system preferences and click on expose and spaces, then click expose, then set it up on secondary mouse. Then when you press top right hand corner of mouse you will see all your open screens. Yay. Though this will remove right click option. But make your choice. You could always use the expose button on keyboard (top row, 4th from left) The option is there. But the scrolling, backward swipe, forward swipe and zoom etc are wonderful. So much easier than mice of old. Would highly recommend.

    Magic Mouse Beauty

    • Written by from London

Yes! It looks beautiful but that isn't what is important here. The new "Magic Mouse" is a joy to use. That perfect harmony of functionality, reliability and ergonomics. It glides round my desk like an Ice Hockey Puck and unlike its plastic forefathers this feels like a beautiful glass pebble. Treat yourself to another great piece of industrial design that makes other mice seem like plastic toys and above all - just works!

    Magic Mouse

As a lefty, I was always impressed with the unidextrous Apple mice of old.
This little gem-of-a-mouse takes this now-ancient device ( in computing terms ) to a new level !
Typically, it combines cutting edge technology with Apple's flair for design.

As with everything else Apple do, the rest will be rushing to copy it, ensuring that, like the Mac OS, the iMac and the iPhone, it will be icon of our time.

All this from a mouse ?
    Yep, you watch the copycats................................

    Excellent, and very habit forming

    • Written by from Cork

The solid state scrolling really is the amazing feature of this mouse. It occasionally gets triggered by accident, but that's pretty rare. I wouldn't say it's a great mouse for gaming, since it's lacking the army of buttons and configuration options one would expect in a gaming mouse.

For general usage and professional work it is a very pleasant mouse to use. Ergonomically it's comfortable and glides very easily.

Well done Apple. This mouse is smooth, elegant, light and functional. It feels like a cross between a mouse and the iPod touch screen. Don't try to clutch it. Just tap it and nudge it and your hands won't hurt at all!

Just got one of these and I think its excellent. Very few moving parts now so no scroll ball problems (thanx Applecare for 3 of them over the two years!). For those looking to have mouse control for Expose and any other stuff including of course the 'third button' (absolutely necessary for making multiple tabs from a google page result!), a third party app called 'Bettertouchtool' works excellently until our leaders get these things going!

You have to love the new Apple Mouse!

    • Written by from Southampton

Like most Apple products, it's a beautiful design and a great step forward in mouse technology. The best feature is the scroll function. Most mechanical scrollers get dirty and annoying! It 'feels' different to my old mouse but like anything new it takes time to get used to. I know the middle and side buttons are missing but you can easily assign the missing functions to Active Screen Corners. Money well spent!

Well, this is actually the most amazing apple product since the iPhone. I love the feel and responsiveness of this mouse. no more scroll button not responding. Don't mess around buy it now :) setting up is a sinch, just make sure you have updated your OS first! you will never want to use a Mighty Mouse again!

Good news out of the box

This is an excellent product, almost too pretty to use! The mouse is fully programmable and is extremely precise and accurate. I only wish there were an option to move the pointer using the finger as on a macbook trackpad. Otherwise perfection.

    No more roller ball

    • Written by from Chichester

For anybody who has struggled with the old rollerball Mac mouse like we have, (three dead in a drawer somewhere) this mouse is such an advance. So far, I'm loving it. Bit expensive, but as I use it 12 hours a day and it's so tactile, I really don't mind too much. Incidentally, I saw a review complaining about the extra buttons (squeeze) being missing, to be honest I always found them more irritating than useful.

I bought this mouse a few days ago, ust to start, i don't have a Mac, yet.. but it does work with a windows PC, the multi touch doesn't, but the point and click stuff does, which is still good.

    Not Multi Touch with windows

Has a HUGE range because of Bluetooth, have a teacher that uses it as a presentation clicker thing.
Excellent Design, Best Design i have seen in a long time, it looks just a beautiful as it does in pictures, maybe even more.
Great Multi touch, i tied it out on a friends Macbook, works seamlessly, the swipe and scroll feature is so responsive, just like a wheel, without the horrible noise.

So as you can see, i don't think any mouse i have used is as good as this, except for gaming mice, but i assure you, none have the wow factor that this does when people see it...

    Well worth the £55

    Best mouse I've used...

    • Written by from Lytchett Matravers

I was worried about the reviews regarding the mouse being too flat and the 'secondary' button difficult to use. I find these fears are unfounded.

Yes, my hand lies flatter on the surface which is actually more comfortable than being bent back a little as you get with other mice. It also sits nicely in either hand (for the ambidextrous). I naturally lift my 'primary' button finger before using the 'secondary' button so this is not a problem. Though this action is different to the new track pads where you can use two fingers to make a secondary click.

Vertical and Horizontal scrolling is easy to do on the mouse and I find it doesn't move around either being held between your outer fingers and thumb.

I never want to go back to a scroll wheel or ball for that matter.

    Best mouse ever

    • Written by from KUOPIO

In my opinion, this is not only the best Apple mouse ever but also the best mouse ever. Touch surface makes scrolling feel much smoother than with any other mouse and the mouse feels light in your hand once you get used to it.

All I'm missing is more gestures. Good work.

This mouse is great and I love the scrolling and the back and forward in Safari.

Now the bits that will take some getting use to: the mouse sits a little lower than I like, and I would like it to move the mouse pointer faster. ( I have it set to Max)

    Is it worth buy? Yup!

    Great Product!!

    • Written by from MANCHESTER

I saw this on a Mac in John Lewis and tried it out. It has a different feel to the normal more rounded mouse, but is so much easier to use. I have been to the Apple Store for the past two weeks trying to get one, but to no avail - until today when I bought the last one in the shop. I liked the Mighty Mouse, but this is better. I prefer the lower curved shape, as this makes it easier to swipe with the fingers. It was so easy to set up on my MacBook too. Just downloaded the Mouse update from Apple, and it worked straight away on my System 10.5.8. Like all good design, I just can't stop using it! Well done Apple - another smart, functional, good looking product.

It is a huge improvement over the Mighty Mouse

    • Written by from Rugby

    Beautiful design - perfect simplicity
    Gestures are fantastic
No Expose or Dashboard quick access is a bit of a niggle but I have keyboard shortcuts that'' suffice.
£55 is quite expensive for a mouse but I definitely feel the Magic Mouse is worth it
