Practical case - shame about the colour...

I bought this because I needed something to keep my iPod safe while using my exercise bike. Before I had this, I used to place my iPod on the table next to me, but this ment I had to pick it up and move it each tme I got on and off the bike so it didn't fall on the floor.

With this armband you can strap it safetly and comfortably round the top of your arm with no fear of it coming loose or slipping down.

I don't really find it too much trouble with accessing the controls because while I'm exercising I don't change song, I leave it to play on Shuffle or make 'work-out play lists'. I also put it on Hold before putting it in the case as movement can activate the Shake Shuffle!

I dropped a Star on the rating because it would be better if this was avaliable in other colours to match your iPod instead of the dirty off-white/grey this comes in. It also is expensive just for a case considering some of the electrical accessories cost the same amount.

Overall though, essential for people who like music on the go or at the gym!

    Not bad at all!

Bought this a few days ago, and it seems pretty good. Comfortable, fairly stable and because the iPod enters the case from underneath it's OK to use in light rain (there is transparent plastic over the screen and click-wheel). The arm strap is definitely long enough to be secure for all but the largest arms (this seemed to be a complaint on previous Nike models).
My only complaint is that when you have the Nike+ Receiver in the bottom, there is a second velcro tab that allows the bottom of the case to be fastened over the Nike+, keeping everything secure. This then gets a bit in the way of the headphones though. It certainly all still works fine, and the headphones definitely fit without causing any damage, it just doesn't seem as refined as I'd expected from Apple.
Apart from that though, great product. Reasonable price as well, especially if you don't have pockets on your running shorts!

just got a yellow ipod nano for my girl and the armband is great for her when she is on a jog or doing sports. its also better than putting it in your pocket where the screen can get scrached by things like keys and money.
could be a different colour though.

No access to the 'hold' button

Nice armband but no access to the 'hold' button while it is in the armband. Nano needs to be completely removed to access 'hold'. What a pain. I am contemplating cutting a hole in the top of the case so I can access the 'hold' switch, and also contemplating cutting out the plastic circle that covers the dial as I am finding the dial unresponsive whilst in the armband. On the plus side, it's a nice armband, good fit and adjustment, very lightweight, feels nice to wear .

    A bit of a disappointment

I agree with the reviewers who said that the lack of access to the hold button is a pain - but the most irritating part for me is the lack of responsiveness of the track wheel when the iPod is in the case. I don't have specific training playlists and like to change my music as I go - and it's very hard with the cover as it is. I bought mine from an Apple store and am thinking of going back to complain.

ok guys this product couldn't really get better i mean its easy to strap on and the ipod fits in really easily only the problem for me is the colour should be a bit more vibrant if you know what i mean and it can be a little annoying when you want to change song and you have locked the touchpad because then you have to take it all out again also the headphones are easily accessible but whatever you do don't purchase one of the rubbish nike ones they are insanely bad. i suppose if you are sad enough then you could paint it
