I liked this because i was tired of having to turn on the computer and waiting for it to load up! Plus this charger takes less time than the computer to charge your iPod!!!

This is great accessory, it is at a good price and like all Apple things they are white which i think is good because how often to go looking for white cables? you don't they are all black and I tell you one thing i am fed up of seeing black wires. also this accessory works with all iPod and iPhone owners, and who wants the leave there Mac or PC turned on not doing anything for hours while you ipod or iPhone chargers. It comes with everything you need if your ipod has a dock connector and if you are using a iPod shuffle just use the docking station that come with it, so all you do is simpally plug in and turn the plug on and thats it, your ipod is charging. This will even work with iPhone, what more could you need.
If your travel to different countries it may be a problem but all you do is get an adapter and which i believe Apple do sell a travel power supply kit, SORTED!!! This is also cheaper than the other mains charger apple sell but this one is bigger but who cares it looks more interesting than the other one
this is a good product, highly reccomended!!

iPod touch must have accessory

While I agree with some of the other reviewers that this would be better included with the iPod - the problem is that it wouldn't fit into their small iPod box. Also yes having other countries adapter included would be useful - but not everyone goes abroad and so this would be wasted & bad for the planet. What would be a good option is to have a combination product that includes the charger and the adapters - keeping everyone happy!

I like it & wouldn't be without it, my only gripe is that the cable needs to be longer - maybe Apple could produce one so I can play with my iPod while it charges!

I recently bought this for my iPod touch 2nd gen and it worked perfectly the iPod Touch uses it battery up so quickly (probably because I have the WIFI on all the time and the brightness up all the way) it charges it within a couple of hours from a empty battery very well priced when you think about it it charges all ipods ever made and it also charges my phone so very good product

Limited options for the UK store

Most of us agree that Apple accessories are a bit overpriced, so I wonder why Apple does not include this particular accessory with a US or European plug option. By doing this, one would be able to buy this particular accessory and reuse the endpoint with one's MacBook charger without having to dish out the 30 quid for the entire world adapter thingie.

I don't have a spare iPod cable so after a month in Europe my iPod classic died; I purchased the French version for EU25 which included a cable, power unit and adapter for France. The adapter fits my MacBook power supply so has a useful double value. The iPod was fully charged in an hour - very good!

Brought one of these brilliant devices to charge my iPod on the go and it has not let me down once.
For those complaining about a lack of instructions, i thought it was pretty self explanatory how it fitted together. And for the person who said the cable drops down to the floor when not in use, Why don't you take it out?

Yes, we all know Apple should include this when you buy an iPod, but they don't so let's move on. The charger itself is wonderfully packed inside a slim, but tall black box. On the side, a note is placed claiming that the product works with the Nano, Classic and iPod with Video. No mention of the Touch whatsoever, but I use this with my 2nd Generation Touch and thankfully, it works fine. I had previous bad experiences with the Belkin charger sold in Argos, it blew up on me after 10 minutes, so I thought the time was right to turn to official accessories - it guarantees two things - quality and compatibility. What you also get in the box is a spare Sync cable, that functions just like the one you receive with your iPod. You do have to snap the UK plug and the white block together in order to use the charger, but this is very easy to do. From then it's simply a case of connecting your iPod and you're off. Charge time is dramatically reduced compared to charging via a Computer. Highly recommended item. Thank you.

I've got one of these downstairs in the lounge so I can charge my iPhone or wife's iPod while watching telly. Works great, seems to charge faster. Really easy to use - just plug your existing USB to iPhone/Pod cable in and you're done.

It's small so ideal for travelling as well. Really happy that I can now charge from any power point without needing to have computer plugged in and switched on.

Brilliant. Will recharge any thing that needs to be connected to a computer to be recharged.I also use it to recharge my handsfree ear-piece for my mobile phone .

I like this product because instead of booting up your computer in the morning just to charge a ipod you can just plug in a wall and go so it you have more time in your day.
PS. be good if it was in the box

This was the first accessory I ever bought for my iPod (4th Gen Nano). Just the thought of having to turn on my laptop with it's super slow start-up just to recharge my iPod stressed me out!

The power adaptor plugs straight into the mains power (3 pin plug) and connects to the same USB cable that came with your iPod. It comes with an additional cable which is great to have a spare.

I've found recharging with this adaptor is actually quicker than recharging through the USB port on the computer. It's also great to keep your iPod fully charged if you're using it connected to an external sound system or the TV.

Others have complained of their connections being loose, but mine fit snuggly with no worry of them falling out and the adaptor is robustly made.

I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the price. I feel, like others, this should come bundled with any iPod over £100 by defualt. It makes sense as there may not be a comuter to use to charge with, whereas this can be used at home, at work, at your friends house, hotel room, etc.
