Great product, just thought i would pass on a bit of my aquired knowledge. I found that after time the sock would get dirty and stretch etc. Best thing i found was to fill a sink with hot water and throw in some non bio, hand wash it ten minutes or so and then put it in the tumble dryer. Sock comes out like new every time.

The best option available
Written by AM from LONDON
Jan 6, 2006
This is the best thing you can buy to protect your iPod Nano. The ideal situation would be that the iPod nano was made of scratch resistant material but unfortunately its not. All the other cases attempt to protect the iPod while you are using it. But this just acts like a case (and a very nice one). How many times do you really need to actually use the controls. Whenever you want, you just slip it out of the sock, change your song etc and slip it back in. In the end it really does feel very protected in the sock. The socks seem so nice and warm that I almost feel like putting my hand in it!!
Dont go for anything else .. this is the best option if you want to protect your iPod and also have no plastic covers etc. on it while you are using it.6 of 6 people found this useful

I had these socks for my b'day along with my iPod and i have kept them on since an i haven't a single scratch on the back or front, as most people have been saying the nanos get scratched easy but if you buy these socks it won't.

Looks funky, but scratches pods with no protective film
Written by EJ from Cambridge

These little cotton/acrylic socks are sold as being compatible with all iPods, which, due to their stretchy nature they are. The 30Gb Video is a tight/snug fit, and I guess the Nano just sits inside the sock and doesn't stretch it very much.
They are wonderfully bright and give your pod a great retro look, but be warned - They scratched my brand spanking new Video pod, which didn't impress me at all, as I had brought them to protect the iPod from scratches in the first place.
My guess is that they wouldn't scratch a Nano nearly as much, as the nanos are obviously smaller, and hence the sock is not streched anywhere near as much.
However, if you have applied the Protective film stuff to your pod (brilliant so far on my replacement, non-scratched pod), I think they would serve their purpose well.2 of 2 people found this useful

Put it in a Sock!
Written by JS from Bournemouth
Dec 28, 2005
Having recently been given a helping of socks, i'm thouroughly pleased with them.
The groovy little things prevent scratches and finger-marks, making it alot less painfull when going out and trying to keep them scratch-free!!
They fit all the i-pods, even ones as thick as the photo.
So my advice to you is to buy these cool little things and PUT YOUR POD IN A SOCK!!!

Ipod Socks
Written by DS from Wimborne

I just got these with my Ipod Nano for Christmas and what can I say, they're brilliant! The Nano fits perfectly inside and they're just so darn cool, it's the only case type thing that doesn't detract from the brilliance of the ipod itself. With all the worries about nano's scratching, I was concerned these might rub and make it worse but they are really soft and so far my Nano hasn't got a single scratch! I have to say the price is a bit excessive and it would be better if they sold them individually but hey, what are going to do?
It's also really easy to slip it out and change song as well which is an added bonus.
All in all, if you were considering the socks, go for it, you won't be dissappointed!4 of 4 people found this useful

!Top product!

The ipod socks do what they say because i used it with my ipod nano and it is still scratch free and i have had it since the 20th september!! It is a must buy product if you want your nano to have a scratch free surface like the day you bought it. It will not protect it from large falls but will protect it from small falls. And if you drop it on wet ground or damp ground the sock will absorb the water. I know because it happened to me!! Get the socks instead of the cases if you can beacause bits of dirt can get in the case and scratch the ipods shiny surface. Thanks and i hope you take my advice!!

i was given a set of iPod sox for my bday last year and within a week of having them people had begged them off me and i now only have four :( they keep my ipod safe and warm, esp in these winter months and protect it from being scratched. i have a lil pink ipod so now it gets a lot less scratched than it did before! they would be great as a gift or to share, but be warned, you won't end up with many left!

When I bought my new Ipod I thought I needed something to cover and protect it. So i looked on the internet and there were these socks. I loved all the different colours they had so I bought them. I look my Ipod to school with these socks on and i was told theywere really snazzy. when i got pushed into a wall with my ipod in my pocket i thought it would be broken but it wasnt.
excellent protection. I would recommend them to any1. Only thing wrong with them is a bit expensive bt its worth it and you get loads of colours.

Brilliant Idea ...
Written by DM from Sheffield
Nov 16, 2005
The iPod, for me is not only a music player, but a thing of beauty. So why ruin it by making it all rubbery when it's in a silicone case? Use these instead!
These socks DO protect. I've got a nano, and I reluctantly bought a rubber case, now before I put it in, my iPod was spotless, no scuffs, no scratches.
Later, when I took it out to charge, it was covered in scuffs, because 'bits' had got in between the rubber and the nano's face.
However, since buying these socks, my player has received no further marks. Oh, and I should mention, they look pretty good when your iPod is wearing them!
Despite others saying that you can't access the controls or see the screen, well isn't that obvious? That is not what these are designed to do, they are designed to protect and look cool, they succeed in both.
I am thoroughly satisfied, thankyou Apple for producing such a fantastic music player, with protection to match.8 of 9 people found this useful

Protection is the point, surely..

Not impressed with these socks at all. My nephews socks would have been cheaper, and probably a lot more usefeul to boot.
They barely cover the 60GB iPod, and i've often put my hand in my pocket to find it's slipped down even further - do you think i only want the top portion scratched?
The materials used are very synthetic, and i imagine these socks will sctratch the face of an iPod after a little useage. When do the proper cases come out?
Enough whinging, I'm off to cancel Christmas18 of 40 people found this useful
