Works well, if original mpeg file is truly MPEG compliant including sound

I bought this codec, when i switched from PC to Mac and my originally encoded family videos wouldn't play within Quicktime. Initially disappointed because I had no sound. The MPEG movies need to be true MPEG, including the sound track not AC3. I was also disappointed because video which looked fine on the PC had horrible interlacing problems when viewed in Quicktime. So after many attempts at re-encoding the original movies on the PC with non-interlacing selected, I eventually perfected the format required to play correctly on the Mac. So essentially, no fault with the Codec itself, £15 is just about acceptable I suppose.

    Rubbish - no audio

No sound, a waste of £15. The lack of sound is mentioned on the US site, together with how to solve it but I'm going to ask for my money back.

Zero stars but I'm being forced to give one!
