I don't understand what the problem people are having with WiFi connectivity. I am printing to the SX600 from both Mac and WinPC without a problem.
Maybe it's because I read the instructions. …More36 of 37 people found this useful

I love this printer! It took some time to figure out how to set up the wireless printing but when I got it figured out, it is the most convenient thing I have ever bought! The only thing I don't like about it is that I can't scan wirelessly. Does anyone have any idea how to set this up? …More

Its EASY to use with wifi or USB
Written by MT from Manchester

This printer is easy to set up and gives awesome prints. Using the genuine ink this is the first inkjet i've ever used that doesn't smear when you wet it (thanks to the DURAbrite ink).
To set up you use the CD provided (unfortunately you have to type your password in around 10 times, one for each component as it installs... yawn) then connect it to the USB when prompted. Thats it to get it working on USB!
Then To set it up for WIFI you need to add it to your internet wifi router. I tried doing it peer to peer by seting up a WIFi network on my mac and connecting the printer to that but it didn't work very well. (and you don't want to do that anyway as you won't be able to use your Mac WiFi for anything else! eg. the internet)
So, to add to your WiFi router, Under network settings on the printer you enter the SSID and WEP key for the router and it joins the network. It then gets an ip address. (for example an IP is 192.168.1.65)
You can then show the IP under "show network" on the printer display.
Then on your MAC click + to add a printer (use apple help if you need to find out how to do that) and enter the IP address your router gave the printer. THATS IT! done....
Just as an additional note: When I switch the printer off sometimes my router gives it a new IP when you switch it back on. Usually if, for example, someone else has joined the WIFi network and took the address the printer was using. Which means the mac can't find the printer on the original IP address.
If this is the case with your router don't use the IP address (when you add the printer on the MAC) use the network hardware name for your printer (You can get it off your router OR doing a reverse ping..... it usually looks like this Unknown-00-00-5e-00-01-14)
It is easy when you do it (trust me!) …More6 of 6 people found this useful
