    Cheap and effective!

Am I the only person with ears the standard iPhone buds don't fit? Apparently not, reading other reviews. My late lamented SonyEricsson was traded in for iPhone 3G, and I don't regret it a bit... EXCEPT it had Sennheiser headphones with three sizes of those dinky silicone rubber mushroom grommets. One size invariably fits comfortably in the ear canal, AND the earphones separate above the mic on the lead.
SO, I naturally wanted to keep them... I can live without them being designer white :) and that is where this little accessory comes in. Connects new iPhone to old Sennheisers.... noise cancelling mic works on the bus, remote control is good, AND only fifteen quid. Bargain.

    Absolutely Terrible

I had these and the cable fell apart around the bottom after a few days, i returnrd them and got a new pair and after a week the exact same happened, so now i am stuck with headphone with no sound in the left ear, i bought these specificall because i thought that due to the higher price tag they would at least last a while, but they dont, worst product i have ever used, avoid at all costs More

Great idea, ruined by poor quality

This is a really useful accessory - allowing you to use your choice of headphones, with the convenience of a microphone and control button. However, it's lasted about 4 weeks before the cable has separated from the plug and wires are visible. There is no proper strain relief on the plug, which is inexcusable for a product that is designed to be used on the go. I won't be replacing mine with another griffin one - maybe the extra money for the shure equivalent will prove to be worth it.
    Avoid.

    Poor build quality

Liked the clip on the mic and performed adequately for three months. Had a couple of days of the sound popping and crackling before they gave up entirely.

    Rubbish.

    not worth it

I never use these because it makes my headphones way too long. I am constantly trying to figure out how to get the mic portion to where it will pick up my voice while not getting tangled in my headphones cable. It's a good idea but honestly, it is not worth the juggling act. More

    Adequate but poor mic

This does an adequate job but the microphone is poor. It only really works if held about 10cm from your mouth which rather defeats the point. More
