Hi, this is a simple to use great little holder, the windscreen suction is really strong and not only does it work with my iPhone my husband can use it with his mobile phone and iPod. All you do is pull out the feet and press the blue button on the back to release the arms and then push them in so it fits your device.

      Great Great product.
If only my satnav was supplied with this type of holder. Sticks like superglue to the windscreen.
Recommend the bundle option that is also on the store if you are thinking of buying a transmitter as it is better value as it is discounted when you add the two together. More

      Too much wobble

Written by RP from BISHOP'S STORTFORD

The car mount does hold the iPhone very firmly so there is no easy way for the phone to fall out of the cradle, and the mechanism does swivel allowing the iPhone to rotate so you can view videos horizontally.

However the main problem with this mount is that when driving its just not sturdy enough it shakes and wobbles around so much that it actually becomes a distraction rather than an aid, even if you reduce the length of the neck by creating a series of bends.

You really need a fixed mount similar to the TomTom GPS holders as they are very sturdy.

Free Aux cable in the box

This is very good value for money as you get a free aux cable in the box which makes this a great low cost low tech way to secure iTouch in car and connect to the car stereo if you have an aux port.

The mount itself has a ratchet type mechanism which hold the iTouch very secure in place when squeeze shut. I had seen other alternatives in motor store but I am glad I spent the few extra quid which i easily recovered with the free aux cable

5 stars all round for the value for money.

Don't buy this cheap plastic car mount

I wanted an affordable car mount for my iPhone 3GS and was intrigued by the Kensington Car Mount.
Unfortunately it is a bit of a disappointment - the quality is very poor and the spring mechanism keeping the iPhone place and button for releasing the iPhone do not work properly - the button gets stuck leaving the unit useless.

The suction cup is adequately powerful, but length of the arm make the iPhone shake a lot while driving. I will be shopping for a different car mount - a well built one.

Kensington Car Mount for iPod and iPhone

Written by KA from St Albans

Absolutely useless, after attaching this device to my windscreen internally, I found that the vibration caused, due to the length of the arm used for the cradle connection, made my Iphone unusable, followed by breaking after two hours of use, when i tried to wedge the arm between the car windscreen and dashboard to stop the excessive shaking.
