I have to say, before buying these speakers, i was sceptical of 2.0 systems. As you do, i read the reviews before purchasing, taking most of them with a pinch of salt. Now i have myself a set of these little wonders, i understand where the people who have written the reviews are coming from. powerful, accurate bass accompanied by rich, full bodied mid range, and high frequencies as crisp as you like. I thoroughly recommend these speakers to anybody looking for some speakers to compliment a small music/entertainment setup, theyre perfect and fill a small to medium sized room with rich clean sound. the only problem is interference from mobile phones, but i'll survive. Lovely but pricey

I bought these to try on my iMac. The sound is crisp and they do a good job in the bass department despite lacking a subwoofer. Playing all sorts of songs they reproduce sounds well, especially vocals and classical guitar - probably because of no over-beefy base.
Its true that they are overpriced though, which is my only gripe.
The Acoutisc Energy - Aego M 2.1 are a better bet at a cheaper price, but unfortunately Apple don't stock them (which is very strange, as they are white ;))

You'll find yourself wondering how they do it without a woofer! Amazing clarity, and deep bass, more than any two speaker system out there. Great for flats or uni dorms, as there's no huge thumping woofer to disturb anyone! …More

Great Sound from small boxes!

Just wanted to write a few quick words about these speakers. I'd seen them on demo in my local Apple store and admired them before, but was a little sceptical regarding range and performance given their size. Now that I've bought them and used them, I've changed my mind!
Great clarity of sound from a range of music (Stevie Wonder & the Red Hot Chilli Peppers have never sounded so good!!) , the extra input enables both computers I have on my desktop to remain wired up without the need to disconnect from one to use them with the other, and the size enables them to be discreet on my desktop.

I was a bit cautious of buying these speakers due to the heavy bass. Once I had them though i could not have been happier. They are massively loud and the clarity of the sound is excellent, they are quite base heavy but a 5 second equalizer tweak in itunes sorts it all out.......

Just bought these and set them up in my office, Sounds is clear, rich, and has plenty of bass, Very pleased I picked them. Very impressed with their range, and volume levels.
Would recommend them to any one wanting a god mid priced speaker.
