Overview

Rediscover your music.

Put on the Apple In-Ear Headphones, select your favourite track and hear musical details you never knew existed. It's almost like you're experiencing your music for the first time.

Two drivers in each earpiece.

Each earpiece contains two separate high-performance drivers — a woofer and a tweeter — resulting in rich, detailed and accurate sound reproduction and amazing bass response for all types of music.

Impressive sound isolation.

Choose from three sizes of soft, silicone ear tips for a comfortable, stable fit. When inserted in your ear, they create a seal that blocks outside noise so you can get the most from your music.

Take control.

The control capsule located on the cable of the right earpiece includes a microphone and three buttons. Here's what you can do with this convenient remote:*

  • Adjust volume by pressing the + and - buttons.
  • Control music and video playback — including play/pause and next/previous — by pressing the centre button.
  • Record voice memos on supported devices.
  • Answer and end calls.

Steel mesh caps for protection.

Stainless steel mesh caps protect the precision acoustic components from dust and debris. You can remove the caps for cleaning or replace them with an extra set that's included in the box.

Nice package but very, very low sound quality

    • Written by from Birmingham

I never intended to do a review, and at the time I bought them I presumed they were fine, since, well, they seemed to sound better than the default headphones, sound was clearer. The problem is that now I got hold of two pairs of more or less decent over the ear headphones and while comparing which pair is better, I decided to compare the subject of this review, as well. My findings are quite shocking: playing the same bit of a song, wearing Apple in-ear headphones I cannot hear parts that I now know are there, predominantly at low frequencies. This is really outrageous, I cannot believe I payed £66 pounds for such a piece of trash! I even compared the default iPhone 4S headphones. Even though they are less clear, using them I can actually physically distinguish all the parts and instruments of a song, which in a sense tells you that given the retail price of £66 one needs to try, and try hard, to make as rubbish headphones as Apple in-ear ones. Brilliant Multi-purpose earphones but pricey

    • Written by from London

I bought these earphones to enhance my listening experience on my iPhone and they are impressive. Not only do they work on my iPhone, but they also work on my 7th generation iPod Nano and MacBook Pro. They function in the same way as my old iPhone earphones yet these are more comfortable. The only downsides of this product are the price and its tendency to fall out of my ears sometimes otherwise the sound quality is really good. More

Mic does not work when using with MacBooks!

    • Written by from Reading

I used to have the previous generation Apple in ear headphones (MA850G/B) and they worked brilliantly including on my MacBook. On these new ones ME186ZM/A the microphone is not recognised by the MacBook... Went to Apple store and tried brand new sets with brand new Macs and the guys had to admit that for some reason they do not work... Very disappointed. Please fix this! More
