Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it’s easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organises them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer’s photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

What you can do though is exactly what the name suggests and what the thing was made for.

Whilst out and about I can easily take pictures using my SLR and then put my SD card into the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader and pop that into the lightening port. This then allows me to transfer my pictures straight to the iPad and into it's camera roll without needing a computer.

Although it may be a bit pricey, the iPhone 5 doesn't support it and it's only limited to transferring pictures, it does exactly what I need and is very simple to use whilst also being compact.

The reader will not work properly with iPad Air2. If I am lucky it will partially read sd card, but usually just displays a few selected items.
I now have to transfer photos to iMac and then sync to iPad.
A complete and utter waste of £25, should have stayed with Sony.

A lot quicker than some of the current WiFi and camera app connections.

I had the take off 1 star however, as the adapter does not work with my iPhone 5S.
No problems on the iPad Mini 2 though.
