Use the Apple Wireless Keyboard on your desk, on your lap or anywhere within 30 feet of your Mac - all because of its built-in Bluetooth technology. Its compact design takes up 24 per cent less space on your desktop than full-sized keyboards, so you have extra room to move the keyboard around and mouse comfortably beside it. You’ll also feel a difference when you type on its low-profile, anodised, aluminium enclosure with crisp, responsive keys. Use the function keys for one-touch access to a variety of Mac features, such as screen brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, Exposé and Dashboard.
The Apple Wireless Keyboard now requires just two AA batteries - one less than the previous model. And its intelligent power-management system conserves battery life. So when you’re not using the keyboard, it powers down automatically. The instant you start typing, it turns on again. Use the on/off switch when you're away from your computer for a long time.

Back to the bomb-proof keyboard!

I have had this keyboard for a little over 6 months now and I am less than impressed to say the least.
The caps button has broken and so the light shines even if I have caps turned off. This in turn drains the battery quick and I have had to resort to turning the keyboard off when I shut down.
I am constantly loosing connection even with fresh Duracell batteries and my mac being less than 2 feet away. My 'm' and 'u' buttons have packed up so when I try to hold shift for a captial 'U' I get 'IORTUY' instead of the desired character. Frankly I'm appalled by the quality of this product and have had ro revert back to my solid old mac keyboard.
I am not a heavy typist and have always taken very good care of my apple products due to how expensive they are, but they have taken the mickey a bit with this one! I shall not be buying another new gen apple keyboard in the near future. …More3 of 4 people found this useful

Not a Bad Bit of Kit

Got this about 2 months ago and am very pleased with it. Its small sleek design is very nice to look at and typing on the keyboard is a pleasure requiring the lease amount of effort when compared to other bog standard keyboards you get with some PC Keyboards.
I have the Wired keyboard and the Wireless keyboard (one for office and one for home). When compared against one another the keys on the Wireless are a little more stiff but not to the point that it is annoying. The Wireless does not come with a USB hub like the Wired but to be honest I never really use it so I don't really miss it. It doesn't come with a Num pad either but again I never really use it when I have it.
Since I have had it I have not needed to change the batteries, this is probable due to the power down feature on the keyboard when your not using it, but it only takes a second to wake up when you press a key. I would consider myself a "Power User" and use my computer all day every day and was quite surprised I didn't have to change the batteries yet.
If you need an Apple keyboard get this one, you won't miss the USB Hub, the batteries in it last for ages. It's quite neat and tidy so if you stuck for space on your desk this is the best option. …More75 of 83 people found this useful
