It is a great earphone using with my iTouch (2nd gen). Simple controls, more comfortable materials (less plastic feeling) and the same sound quality and for the SAME PRICE as before! The only thing: U need to be careful not to press the play button (no lock on it). I can just recommend it! …More

Good, but could have a longer cord.
Written by HL from Oxford

The earphones are sensitive, and the remote is a great idea. I have been waiting for these to be available for ages. I use them with my 2nd gen iPod touch and they are good. The reason that I bought these was to have my ipod in my bag, but still be able to change the music. The reason that I have not given these five stars is that they do not have much length in them, and they do not work with my earphone extenders. On their own they do not have much slack in the cord. If they came with or even sold these extenders then I would give five stars. …More

Shame "No Stars" Isn't an Option
Written by DM from Newcastle Upon Tyne

Apple have been making some of the best Mp3 players in the world for a long time now, but why do the headphones perpetually let them down? As a consumer we are afflicted by the apple bundled headphones as just something we have to "put up with" although their sleek, white finish is alluring, both the build quality and their sound reproduction are beaten by even low end Sony or Sennheiser models.
The build is cheap and clinical, the flimsy white plastic is hard and uncomfortable; there is no grip; for me there was no support for my ear and they kept falling out. The grey rubber band around the top frays quickly and they soon look tatty. If kept in a bag they become grey (especially the white cord.)
The sound reproduction is poor to be generous. There is no bass support and the mid-tones are painful to listen to; the sound is both not sharp and crisp OR warm and smooth, it's an awkward mix of the two which come together to create a quality known only to complimentary earphones on long haul flights.
Overall it is a shameful waste of £21 when you could pay even a little bit less to get a world of difference. …More1 of 4 people found this useful

I received these headphones with my new iPhone 3GS,
I love the new remote with mic which is great for switching song's, volume, Voice controll e.t.c.
But after all they are the same apple headphones with basic sound, little bass and break/wear very easily. …More1 of 1 people found this useful
