The instrument/loop emphasis is on new electronic drums & percussion optimized for different genres as well as new synths. Over 2000 Apple Loops
Choose from over 2000 prerecorded loops covering different styles and tempos. Build your tracks with beats, breaks, bass lines, and percussion and enhance them with synth patterns, hypnotic riffs, and special effects.
Classic drum machines
Incorporate authentic vintage beats from Roland drum machines, as well as actual sounds from the TR-808, TR-909, and more. You can easily mix and match these classic sounds with modern kits for retro or progressive compositions.
Dance and urban kits
Play your choice of beat kits from over 20 distinct genres, including hip-hop, R&B, electroclash, house, trance, downtempo, 2-step, and more. Turntable effects let you add scratching, needle drops, and other sonic flavors to your mix.
Synth sounds
Explore and experiment with an assortment of playable synth instruments, as well as basses, pads, filters, and sweeps. Chordal stabs and atmospheres let you pay tribute to pop, rave, and ambient classics.

• Requires GarageBand (installed with iLife ’04 or ’05)*, Logic Express 7, or Logic Pro 7. Soundtrack supports Loops only in Jam Packs.
• Macintosh computer with G3 600Mhz processor or higher to use Apple Loops (G4 or G5 required for software instruments)
• 256 MB of physical RAM
• A DVD optical drive (such as a Combo drive or SuperDrive)
• Mac OS X version 10.2.6 (Jaguar) or later
• 4.5 Gigabytes (GB) of free hard disk space

This is a wicked JamPack. The loops are awesome, theres about 2000 of them, and they are all really cool... there are at least 1000 new beats alone! The instruments are AOK... there are a lot more synths than the standard GB, and they are all quite good.

As a professional sound recording artist I use many virtual instruments and synthesizers in the recording studio. This Jam Pack is I am afraid, just like all the others, useless. It's not worth the money. …More
