    Bought these speakers today from the Norwich Apple store. Wanted something that was portable, reasonably priced and sounded good. Assistant in store was very helpful and took them out of the box so I could listen to them attached to my iPad3. Even with the noise in store these little speaker were great, for the price and size the sound quality is excellent, work perfectly with the iPad 3 and my HTC Desire HD mobile phone. Have noticed a difference in sound quality when playing different files, but thats no reflection on these speakers, more the quality of the files. Sound perfect when viewing films via Netflix etc. The bass via them isn't going to blow ya away, but is certainly good enough. These can easily fill a average size room with sound. I can see if using the iPad for business ie giving a client a presentation, these would be a great asset. If ya like music and watching films without using earphones these little gems are a must have. Highly recommended.

    Just receive these and was a little disappointed with the sound quality. Ok, they are portable, nicely designed, easy to set up and use, but really they are £20 speakers (possibly £15) rather than £40. The bass is serously lacking, and the overall sound is still a little tinny. Better than the ipad 3 speakers but not £40 worth. Would recommend buying them cheaper on ebay. Great for when you're out and about and have no choice, sufficient enough I guess. Certainly not 5 stars.

    Bought these to take on holiday. Blown away by the volume and quality. Exceptional for the money. Neat and handy travel bag to stow away the cable and speakers too.

    Buy these for price and performance....

    Quite simply a great product that performs way beyond its price. Quick to charge, excellent sound quality - VERY VERY impressed. If you are looking for a portable speaker system thats givse excellent sound quality, neatly packs away for travel, and looks sexy then this is it. Well built, they feel like a quality product. 5 stars.

    I got these for Christmas yesterday and love them. I read the reviews and thought I'd give them a go.

    They're brilliant little speakers - they won't replace my hi-fi or a good set of headphones, but for they do what they are intended to do brilliantly. They're easy to transport and charge, although the cabling is a bit of a kerfuffle and they sound good. They also go plenty loud enough from an iPod Nano. I haven't seen how loud they will go with the stronger input signal from my computer.

    For the money (Apple's isn't the best price) and their intended use, they are spot on.

    If you need small, portable speakers BUY THESE ONES

    These speakers are GREAT. For the size they have a wonderful sound, rich and powerful with plenty of detail. Add to that the fact that they collapse down and link together for transport AND they have a rechargeable battery that'll easily last a solid day's use and your onto a winner. I really can't recommend these enough - they sound just as good, if not better, than speakers that are twice the price. Buy, enjoy!

    Unbelievably good for the price & size

    Picked these speakers up a year ago to make movie watching on my mac book more enjoyable when I'm away from home. I was immediately impressed with the sound quality - especially considering the price I'd paid and their size. However, what has really blown me away is their battery life. You charge their internal batteries via USB in about 1-2 hours and then they literally run for weeks. Sometimes they'll sit on the shelf for 3 months then be used on a trip every night for a week and still not need charging. Nothing short of amazing - if you need compact speakers to work with a macbook then I promise you that these are the speakers for you.

    It's all true!!

    All these other five star reviews do not tell a lie, or stretch the truth in any way!! These are utterly amazing speakers, considering their tiny size, weight and cost. There is no way you could find anything else comparable. The only downside is the slightly clunky cable set-up, which is a single item, incorporating USB (for charging via computer or Apple's USB mains charger, the 3.5mm headphone plug, and the two mini-USB connectors for each speaker.

    Regardless of whether you're charging or playing, this slightly messy piece of wiring is going to be lying somewhere within view. That caveat aside, these little guys are extremely well designed. They have no volume control as it is not needed at all, and would only cloud the sound slightly anyway.

    A little red light on both units goes on when you're charging, and it changes to blue when charged, and to indicate that power is on. The quality of sound, other than deep bass, is rich, full, and completely satisfying. Very detailed, and even at loud volume, non-distorting. Do yourself a favour, and GO BUY!

    Now, if only the company would bring out a Bluetooth version, that would be a winner, in all ways. Think about it, SDI Technologies!!! (By the way, these are 100% American, designed and made in the US. Which is quite welcome, these days, where almost everything (even some Apple products) are made in China.

    Amazing! Small size, great sound!

    When I ordered these, despite all of the good reviews, I was worried about their size. They are very small and light and so I thought that there was no way that their sound could be as good as everyone said. However they sound amazing! Lots of people have said that the sound is good for their size, and I thought that that is not saying much as they are so small, but they really are brilliant. They have a great quality of sound even at high volumes. The sound is what I would have expected from a very sophisticated (and expensive) sound system!

    For the price you won't get a better set of speakers, they give a fantastic sound for the size these will easily compete with much more expensive speakers.
    You will not be disappointed with your purchase.

    Good things good in small packages

    I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the sound coming from these diminutive speakers.
    There's actually nice separation and the clarity is really good, especially for £40. I am a bit fussy when it comes to sound but am pleasantly surprised at these terrific speakers. They pack a good punch when it comes to bass too.
    Highly recommended.

    Great little speakers

    I bought these for my Mac Mini and didn't expect much, given their modest price and small size. However, they produce an extremely good sound, clear as a bell, and with good stereo separation. the icing on the cake is that they are rechargeable with an apparently long battery life, so I also now use them with my iPod and other mobile gadgets. If I have one minor criticism, it is that there is quite a lot of cabling, but this criticism is not major enough to warrant knocking a star off my rating.

    I've had these speakers for some months now connected to my macbook pro mainly for watching movies, I am so impressed with them- the sound (considering the price & size) is really good, decent bass and stereo separation, they take two ports- 1x USB for charge and 1x headphone jack for sound, after a full charge i unplugged the USB to see how long that would run on their own battery power, OMG- weeks!
    I do not know what they quote as the battery life but it was over 100 hours!!
    The cable they come with means they can only be separated by about 1m but that is enough. I don't really have anything negative to write.
    These are really impressive.

    Top Banana!

    OK, so it's only day one of my daughter's ownership, but this pair of neat telescopic speakers are easy to use, charge and stack away well in their pouch - and above all give an extremely impressive sound for such a reasonable cost! Ideal for the traveller. The only downside, if at all, is that they can only be charged using a USB port on your computer, but everyone should have easy access to a USB port - this is a modern world!
