I bought this adapter to play games on my tv, it works well and some games turn the ios device into a controller for the game such as Gangstar Rio City of saints

Updated my iPod touch 4th gen, NO VIDEO , SOUND ONLY!! FIX PLEASE!!!!!

Several reviews said that this cable wouldn't work with iOs 6 on iPad, so I was hesitant to buy this adapter. I received it this morning and it works fine (in conjunction with an HDMI-to-HDMI cable).

I've tried it simply mirroring my iPad (e.g. with games) which works fine, but leaves a black border on the TV screen. I also tried playing videos and film and this works perfectly, using the whole TV screen with no black border.

I hope this is reassuring to people (like me) who are not sure whether it works or not.

I hate that I can't mirror my iPod and only can watch films/ slideshows with it, it's so unfair.

Bought this yesterday and am using it fine with my iPad 3 running iOS 6.01. It does exactly what it says on the description and does it very well. An excellent product!

Bought this 3 days ago from Apple store in Westfield (Stratford). Put simply, it's not fit for purpose. It doesn't work. Audio, but no picture! Have now read other reviews and it looks like an IOS6 issue. How can they have automatic upgrades which are not compatible with products they are selling in store? Nowhere on packaging does it say that it does NOT work with latest OS! And guess what, no way of rolling back to, or simply uploading, an older OS which I understand works fine with this adapter.

Not good enough, I'd given "0" out of 5 too...but I can't!

This was a wonderful addition to my Apple collection.
Until I upgraded my iPad (post iPad 2 version) to iOS 6.

Now 'this device is unsupported'.

I purchased a camera adapted for my iPod (they call it the classic now) but when the iPod touch came out, it didn;t work either. Built in obsolescence.....love it,

About to buy one of these for new iPad but saw some posts so checked with Apple to be told that this device DOES NOT WORK WITH IOS6.

I think this should be said on this page by Apple rather than reviewers!

It is very misleading to claim this cable is the solution to a TV connection.
I have wasted time and money, when I actually needed an HDMI cable as well

İ ve bought this adapter 2 days ago and tried on lg and samsung full hd lcd tvs with two different hdmi cables. Everytime it works perfectly. Even on games. Some films are protected so they may not play on the screen but i ve 11 films in my library but just one of them did not play!! İt does what it says on the store!
