I have just purchased this smart case and it fits the New ipad very well. There is a little gap so you can squeeze the ipad in but once properly fitted it is secure and does not move around. It offers all around protection in a extremely light & thin form factor. It takes up less room in a small courier bag as it fits like a glove being moulded to the iPad itself. The magnetic ipad cover lock works silky smooth unlike the with the griffin case it replaced. You can still access all the controls & ports as well. The material has a suede feeling to the ipad does not slip in your hand especially when playing infinity blade on the tube. All in All a recommended purchase for the new ipad. If your going to be throwing your ipad around then purchase a thicker case. …

IPad Smart case
Just bought a new iPad. Had another case in my hands but the sales assistant persuaded me that the apple one was the best. On the plus side it fits neatly and snugly around the iPad and the magnetic folding lid works a treat......but seriously, was this tested before being sold? I'm referring specifically to the sharp rim around the outside of the frame of the iPad. The only way I can use the iPad for any length of time is to set it on flat surface. I can't hold it for more than 10 minutes before the 'sharp edges' of the rim cut the hands off me. With the not inconsiderable weight of the iPad being distributed through the sharp edge it actually leaves grooves in my hands. So disappointed. Will be changing as soon as I can get some more money together to get a new case. …

It's worth every penny!
I have just purchased the ipad smart case with my new ipad 3rd gen and its great, a fabulous fitting and still feels slim. i would reccomend anyone to purchase this product because it works and keeps your ipad safe some scratches and it also make it look nicer. …

Good but not the best
I am very pleased with the smart case as it is very colourful and protects it well. The only bad point is that because they made i t a case the added a bit more cover which ruins the stability and my iPad always falls over. …

Perfect
This case has been designed for the Ipad 3rd Gen, however works perfectly with 3rd or 4th Generation.
I bought it for my 4th Ge neration Ipad and it fits perfectly (other than the cut-out for the charger is slightly too big given the new smaller charger for the Ipad 4).
The magnetic cover works beautiful and the volume buttons is easy to press within the case.
I personally do not think it has sharp edges and it is comfortable to hold.
I was tempted by a third party one for a lot cheaper, but the Apple ones are so much better quality.
