    An instant design classic

    I love my smart cover and wouldn't be without it. It is exceptionally practical and enhances my iPad experience. It protects it well, and my pound shop neoprene case fits over it to prevent back scratches if I'm wanting to carelessly chuck it in my bag. Okay, I'm never careless with it, but the smart cover means I'm usually care free.

    Looks great, easy to attach and a good stand but offers very little protection. My iPad screen has a crack across it (no idea how). Buy if you want to make your iPad look nice but not if you are expecting it to give extra protection.

    Awful product - steer well clear!

    The title of my review seems a little sensationalist, but allow me to explain:
    This case looks great, fits great and protects the entire iPad. It even has a few nice touches (covered volume and power buttons).

    BUT - and this is a big but. The case is also supposed to support the iPad when watching movies/reading etc and this it spectacularly fails to do and may lead to the death of your iPad. In portrait orientation, it's not great, but almost usable, but in landscape, it's much worse and is too flimsy to stop it from toppling over, which lead to my wifes iPad hitting a tiled floor. We were lucky because I got my foot under it to break the fall, but it could so easily have lead to it breaking. Better options are available at a lot less, investigate those first. This is the poorest accessory I have seen Apple produce and they should be ashamed to their failure to test it adequately before selling it. I bought a different case from another manufacturer and this is much better.

    Best looking cover available

    Bought this today as the case I was using was too bulky. When you open box and feel the cover you can tell its made well. Place the iPad screen down and magnetic hinge just attaches itself to the side of the iPad as if by magic. My iPad now looks how apple designed it to look. You can also fold cover behind the iPad and the magnetic strip stops it flapping about. The stand works a treat for typing etc. very strong and sturdy in all positions. What more can I say except you just have to decide which colour you're going for. For me this is a must have!

    Very smart indeed

    Not only is this colour lovely, it flips easily into a sturdy typing position and then into an upright horizontal position, perfect for FaceTime calls. I find the triangle stand helps as an extra grip for carrying iPad around too. The magnetic cover clips straight into place and is so cool and not only acts as a screen protector, but keeps it clean and locks/unlocks on opening/closing of case.

    Very very smart indeed! I am very happy with this prodcut.

    Disappointing

    Not a good buy. The cover doesn't stay attached. Dropped iPad when the cover slid off. Loved the colour (pink) and it does look good but wouldn't recommend it.

    This cover is amazing, people who are complaining of it offering little protection I have one question for you, would you expect a car cover to prevent your car from damage if a tree fell on it? No. So what makes you think you can drop your ipad with the COVER on it and it magically not be cracked. It covers the screen against everyday scratches extremely well! The colour is great and the way it allows the iPad to stand in a various positions is perfect. The only thing I would complain of is that it does detach easily when pulled, but then easily magnetises back on.

    Doesnt offer much protection..

    My iphone is better protected! Flimsy front cover, Doesnt look after the back, I thought it would be more sturdy than it is.

    Horrifically over priced, save your cash and get a cover elsewhere. IPAD 3 is awesome, covers are way over priced for what they are.

    Carrying the ipad around with me, this cover will do nothing, come on Ipad, don't miss sell. Its metallic so it just slots in but easily comes away.

    No reason you should pay any more than a fiver for it

    Great concept but stains too easily.

    I bought this cover today and within hours it had picked up a conspicious stain on the front which would not come off. Gutted. Was hoping it would be more durable. I was being so careful with it too.
