    Brilliant

    • Written by from NOTTINGHAM

Really pleased with it... i use it for about 5/6 hours every day.. i have used the batteries that came with the mouse and they still have 69% life left and i have used it for 6 hours every day since christmas day 09! So the battery life is fantastic... the touch of it is really well designed, and to scroll down you just slide your finger down the mouse... it is fantastic and wonderful christmas present.!

    Oh.. the relief!!!

    • Written by from Haddington

After struggling with the trackball on the mighty mouse for ages I was so keen to get this mouse. I was put off by the lack of expose built in but decided to go for it after hearing about magicprefs.

The mouse is rather flat but I suspect that is to prevent you resting your hand on it and activating the touch features all the time. I dont find it a problem for general use but might be uncomfortable if you use the mouse all the time.

Once you have magicprefs installed there is many options for features like expose and the transition has not been difficult at all. I like the option to open quickview with a tap on the apple logo as well.

Overall this is a big step up from the mighty mouse but only with magic prefs installed. It works so nicely I only wonder why apple didnt do this themselves. Still enjoying smooth scrolling after all the misery with the trackball mighty mouse.

    Magic eclipses Mighty into oblivion...

    • Written by from Bourne End

If this is your first taste of 'touch technology' for those without prior experience of an iPhone or iPod Touch then prepare to be smitten! Simply glorious, intuitive and gorgeously sleek - this is a mouse beyond compare. If you are fortunate enough to already have an iPhone or iPod Touch then you are simply to experience the world in your hand when sat at a computer...

Apple you have done it again - I do not miss Expose or Dashboard at the misclick of my right hand - simply marvellous.

Good, but not crafted by god as some make out.

    • Written by from Torquay

Yeh the multi-touch is cool. But its more of a multi-slide feature as you can't pinch to zoom like the iPhone multi-touch. And the right-click isn't perfect. Many times has it left-clicked instead. And it eats batteries like crazy!!

    Great but ....

    • Written by from Blaina

This mouse is absolutely awesome, i use it every single day.

The battery live with the Included batteries is around 2 weeks but with a better branded battery/better tech battery its around 1/1.5 months

I downloaded an Application called MagicPrefs Which brings allot of functionality into this mouse and has saved this mouse in my opinion.

    No middle button, no love.

    • Written by from London

Wonderfully responsive Mouse, the ease of scrolling is...well Magical, HOWEVER.... where oh where is the MIDDLE button!? It now takes me three times as long to access my desktop and that's a huge leap backwards. Apple, you made me cry.

    So Far - SO GOOD

    • Written by from Derby

Had this a week now and I've got to say so far - so good. It works perfect and feels nice. I love the swipe feature for navigating through web pages and the scroll feature without a wheel.

The whole look and feel of it is excellent. And despite a week of hard work, my battery meter is still showing 100%

My only suggestion would be that for £56.00 I would of liked some form of case to protect it when travelling.

Huge improvement on the Mighty Mouse

    • Written by from Norwich

I replaced my Mighty Mouse with a Magic Mouse a couple of days ago and I am stunned by the improvement! The Magic Mouse is so much more responsive and very comfortable to use.

It also looks incredibly stylish, is very slim and well made.

It is definitely worth the money!

    Close but no cigar

    • Written by from London

A very good mouse, a pleasure to use, extremely accurate, great multi touch gestures. It doesn't sit in the hand quite as comfy as the mighty mouse, I find the old mighty mouse lighter to use, you can also launch dashboard and expose from the old mouse, this does not work with the new mouse. Maybe a firmware update will solve this.

All in all it does not better the old mouse, some things are better some things are worse. Go to an Apple store to try one for yourself.

Fabulous mouse, battery life and buttons an issue

    • Written by from CHIPPENHAM

I love my Magic mouse, it feels antiquated when I have to use a wheel on a mouse now. The action is great and a real revelation. However, I go through batteries like nobody's business - I changed the batteries (I use quality ones) last Friday and am already down to 74% in four days.

The lack of buttons is frustrating, I would love to be able to access spaces, or programme other buttons and don't get me started on how much detritus gets stuck to the rails on the bottom.

I still love it more than other mice though, so I will have to put up with it.

    Great all rounder

    • Written by from Benfleet

For me this mouse is a great all rounder. The full touch surface is much nicer to use than the old scroll wheel and the right click is a lot more reliable. The mouse runs a lot smoother on my desk with just the two rails which I can imagine will collect less dirt as well. The mouse also has a very nice fit and feel in my hand. Some reviews have mentioned the lack of expose but I never set the mighty mouse up for that as I found my self accidentally applying pressure and causing it to trigger.

Not Great - in fact not as good as the wired version

    • Written by from SOUTHAMPTON

All the hype persuaded me to part with £50+ for a mouse! If it didn't have Apple on it few people would dream of spending that much on a mouse. However, thinking it would live up to the hype - many do. Sure it looks nice and the features like double finger swiping are cute, but after 3 weeks of trying to get used to it... I've had to consign it to the drawer of costly mistakes and revert to the wirer version.

The main problem is that it's so irritating! It jumps and when clicking on something it frequently 'jumps' to the line or item above.

Few people are as supportive of Steve Jobs and Apple as me, but I'm afraid this thing is for room 101!

    Best of the lot!

    • Written by from LEEDS

This mouse is, for me, perfection.
I operate it to full advantage in space not big enough for a mouse-mat, and am delighted to be able to scroll and change pages by sweeping finger/s up, down and across the top of this trademark Apple beauty.
Then there's the added facility of being able to set it for right-click operation .......
A joy to own and operate!
    Cannot fault it.

    Over Priced & Over-rated

    • Written by from LONDON

There are plenty of other better mice out there for this money.

Pros - no scroll wheel, looks good

Cons - not 100% responsive, two button mode not 100% accurate, eats batteries

    Not just a mouse

    • Written by from London

This is by far the most comfortable mouse I've used. No scroll wheel to clog up, makes browsing easy peasy. This is not just a mouse, it's a life style choice.

    A real apple moment

    • Written by from Gloucester

Unlike many other reviewers I really did have an apple moment.

The mouse is extremely comfortable, my mighty mouse has been consigned to the cupboard. I love the weight, not too heavy not too light. The only gripe I have is it's not rechargeable and if it's anything like my wireless mighty mouse it'll eat batteries like there's no tomorrow.

    Superb!

    • Written by from Preston

I got this today and was a bit wary as some people were not too happy with it...

Well, it works for me and is the best mouse I have ever owned!

The swipe gestures make navigating the web quick and easy and the sensitivity, tracking, feel and look of the mouse is just spot on!

I really hope that more gestures are developed for this but even at its most basic level now, it's a definite thumbs up!

Nice Mouse but still love Mighty Mouse

    • Written by from Brackley

This is a very nice mouse, looks great & works very well. However personally i still love the 'Mighty Mouse', i'm using one now & it's just so comfy, the ball is simply fantastic, true it needs occasional cleaning but it's no big deal, i'm using one now which provoked me to write this review. We have had the 'Magic Mouse' (the new one) for a few months now & yes.it is a fine mouse and you wont ever have to clean it but i still prefer the 'Mighty Mouse' he's just a bit more comfy & the love/hate ball to me is superb.
