Have been using this for 3 weeks and because it feels and looks as though it has been well built with good quality components I am confident that it will stand up to the rigours that these chargers face when you use them in the car. It does what it says on the box. Negatives: the cable whilst being coiled, only just allows enough stretch to sit in a normal 'money compartment' slot that most cars will have behind the handbrake lever - as a result you end up having to wedge it in place by a corner and hope that any bumps in the road don't dislodge it and send it flying into the dashboard/gearstick. …More

Easiest decision ever, works with the iPhone 3G AND more importantly my cigarette lighter socket which a few other brands wouldn't work with.
The charge status light is a nice touch but only really shows up when dark as it is very dim, not really an important feature anyway but a nice touch. Nice quality feel about this product, the cable IS short but should be long enough to stretch to a drinks holder or the passenger seat, personally I'd rather have a short cable as opposed to having to store 3 feet of unwanted wiring in the glovebox! …More63 of 74 people found this useful

Great little charger. Be careful if you need a good run of cable (between your cigarette lighter and where you position your iPhone/iPod) as this one is fairly short. I love it, no long messy cables! …More

Didn't fit the cigarette lighter properly and didn't charge at all. Useless and a waste of money. Don't buy.

I've been using this product for months and it works very well. It plugs directly into the cigarette lighter and charges up my iphone a treat.
My only gripe, and I know it sounds a bit pedantic but I'm not the only reviewer on here to say this, is that the cable is too short. My iphone will just sit on the passenger seat whilst charging but any slight braking and its off into the footwell and I'm groping around trying to retrieve it.
