The World Travel Adaptor Kit includes a USB power adaptor, a 30-pin to USB cable and a set of six AC plugs with prongs that fit different power points around the world. For world travellers, this is the perfect kit to ensure power connectivity in most countries you may travel to.
The Kit is designed to work with iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple MagSafe Power Adaptors (for MacBook and MacBook Pro), Portable Power Adaptors (for iBook and PowerBook) and AirPort Express.
The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adaptor Kit directly support power points in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia and Hong Kong.
Please note: To use this kit with devices that use a Lightning connector — such as iPhone 5, iPad mini and iPad with Retina display — you will need a Lightning to USB Cable, sold separately.

Missing a vital component
Although the kit has plenty of bits, it's not necessarily the same as plenty of value. Some of the bits are redundant (you'll alre ady own at least one of them) or superfluous (a separate adaptor just for Korea?). You may find it more appropriate to buy non-Apple adapters that you specifically need.
More vitally for me, it's missing the last remaining adapter that it needs to truly be a 'world' kit, that is, an 'empower' adapter for use on international flights. Come to that, why not include a 12v adaptor for use in cars?

Good value for money
This version of the World Travel Adaptor kit costs £29 (only £10 more than the standard iPod USB charger) but comes with 5 additio nal plugs. That makes it £2 per plug adaptor, and these are the official Apple ones. Bargain IMO …

Now updated for iPad
I bought one of these at my local Apple store yesterday, and was pleased to see that it now includes a 10W adaptor which will fast -charge the iPad, and the new thinner UK plug adaptor, which is much less bulky than the old one. The USB cable included is now the new style with the squarer ends.
For my money, this kit is much better value than the iPad charger itself - for an extra £5, you get a complete set of international plugs, and all you lose is the rather bulky and heavy 6' extension cable.
It would be nice, though, if Apple included some sort of case to keep all the bits together - even a simple drawstring bag would be nice. …- Written by Simon L from CAMBRIDGE

We bought this kit expecting that it would do as it says on the packet, cover the world.

Plug Adapters not suitable for China
The Chinese plug adaptor does not fit standard mains sockets in China, the Australian one would, but the shrouding on the pins pre vents it from being fully plugged in. It would also be good if Apple sold the plug adaptors separately. …
