Overview

Rediscover your music.

Put on the Apple In-Ear Headphones, select your favorite track, and hear musical details you never knew existed. It's almost like you're experiencing your music for the first time.

Two drivers in each earpiece.

Each earpiece contains two separate high-performance drivers — a woofer and a tweeter — resulting in rich, detailed, and accurate sound reproduction and amazing bass response for all types of music.

Impressive sound isolation.

Choose from three sizes of soft, silicone ear tips for a comfortable, stable fit. When inserted in your ear, they create a seal that blocks outside noise so you can get the most from your music.

Take control.

The control capsule located on the cable of the right earpiece includes a microphone and three buttons. Here's what you can do with this convenient remote:*

  • Adjust volume by pressing the + and - buttons.
  • Control music and video playback — including play/pause and next/previous — by pressing the centre button.
  • Record voice memos on supported devices.
  • Answer and end calls.

Steel mesh caps for protection.

Stainless steel mesh caps protect the precision acoustic components from dust and debris. You can remove the caps for cleaning or replace them with an extra set that's included in the box.

    stunning!!

Just picked these up from the applestore in Brum today.

To clear things up, ALL features EXCEPT VOLUME CONTROL work fine with the original Iphone, pause, skip tracks, answer calls, microphone etc all work great, but you can;t control mic or headphone volume.

Fantastic clarity for receiving and talking during calls, a lot better than most bluetooth sets.

Real comfortable and secure fit, much more comfortable than any other phones I've used, and I've used about 10 different sets of phones over the last two years trying to find something that is comfortable and sounds great... and we have a winner!

The sound is fantastic, given that I usually listen on in-ear single driver phones that cost me £120, I really do love the sound from these. Great soundstaging, and the clarity of the top end mixed with the warm and rolling bottom end is great, the 5hz claim I think is pushing it! THESE ARE NOT BASS HEAVY!

I listen mostly to electronic and DNB, and although the bottom end is not that low and thumping, it is still very rich and warm, and very punchy with no distortion, but the level of clarity and detail you hear is amazing, you really can hear so much more detail in tracks than I was used too. Each element is very well defined, unlike the sharpness of some phones, or the mushiness of bass heavy sets, all elements are crystal clear here. I guess the dual drivers really work, hopefully the bottom end will pick up a bit once they're broken in.

Basically for the money, you simply can't beat these phones. Amazing sound quality, loving the extra hands free use, the controls are as simple as you can get and they are very well made. You'll be paying at LEAST double if not treble for the next cheapest dual driver phones on the market. So you really can't go wrong... just a shame they're still white, silver or black would have looked much nicer, especially considering the lack of any white in the current apple product range!!

Looks like Apple finally made a good set of earphones... shocking ;)

    Starting to Appreciate

Took a bit of getting used too, my ears had been conditioned to the Sennheiser CX300 in-ears, the Apple by comparison are noticeably flatter but more natural and very detailed. CX300s are bottom heavy, the Apple unit feels smooth up to the vocal presence range where it comes to life and towards the top end remains pretty sharp. I noticed overall good detail and separation, this should happen with two individual drivers handling different frequency ranges.
Earphones will always be subjective, people have different music tastes but Im really starting to appreciate these earphones and getting away from the artificial sound I had become accustomed too. The fact you have playback control and a mic built in and its barely visible is another winner.

Superb headphones. High Quality, separation, clarity, taut bass, detailed treble. Excellent and well worth the money. Mic works well on iPhone 2G and 3G models.

Innovative case and ear plug holder.

5 Stars because they beat all the earphones at this price level and some above.

    No Thanks

I was so disappointed when I tried my new headphones. I'd looked into the different models available and decided to go with the Apple originals rather than any other manufacturer. But, I'm taking them back tomorrow. The sound quality is rubbish, they keep falling out of my ears, the right one keeps crackling - horrid. I got out my old headphones that I got with my Ipod mini many years ago and these are 1000 times better. I'd rather stick with them and lose the remote functions than put up with these. I can only assume Apple outsourced the fabrication of these. More

    A big let down!

    Written by JN from Watford

I do not claim to be any kind of audiophile when it comes to listening to music but I find it utterly frustrating when that music has 'No Rhythym!'

My original Apple iPhone earphones stopped working so I needed to buy a new pair. I spent some serious time researching all the options that are available to the iPhone taking into consideration those that have the inline mic/remote facility to find a new pair. There are so many options that it became a bit of a mission. I finally plumped for these!

    Bad idea!

These earphones have the typical beautiful Apple styling, however the sound reproduction is awful, and I am not exaggerating! The bass is totally non-existent! The treble over powers everything so much so that its unbearable to listen to music with these earphones! I was so disappointed with them I took them back to the store the following day after trying different equalizer settings on my phone as well as different types of music to hopefully get some kind of 'decent' sound out of them!

I do find it very strange that there are so many positive reviews on this item considering the terrible sound they produce. Maybe I had a dud pair!

So as you may realise, I am still looking for a decent replacement pair of headphones!

    Disappointing

    Written by DG from Cardiff

Sound clarity is good, but as many other reviewers have said, these are low on bass. Even with EQ set to bass booster they are worse than my (much cheaper) sennheisers with EQ switched off. Not everyone is into bass however.

My main issues with these are:
    1) No volume control for iPhone 3G, even though the 3G was the current iPhone model when these headphones were released. This could easily be cured by a software update.
    2) Poor quality construction. Everything feels very flimsy. The mesh cap unscrewed itself on mine and fell out, which in turn caused an ear bud to come loose and fall off. You get a spare set of mesh caps, but the ear bud is lost and there is no way of getting a replacement. The other sizes in the box are no use to me so now my very expensive headphones are useless.

Frankly not got enough for £59.
