Well worth the money

The sound is fantastic, really natural and really clear. I listen to all kinds of music, from classical to hip hop and everything sounds great and just seems to sound like it’s meant to. These sound far better than my boyfriends Beats which cost more than twice as much. In particular, I think vocal sound really rich, almost like live recordings and I’ve heard little details on tracks I’d never heard before.
I also find the microphone really responsive; I don’t have to hold it close to my mouth to be heard clearly. The remote works well and seems sturdy. Generally, these earbuds seems much more expensive than their price suggests; they’ve got a nice fabric cable, are made of metal and come with spare tips and a little bag.
I've previously had problems getting headphones that fit well, so I loved that these came with lots of tips sizes. I like to listen to music when I’m writing and I can wear these all day without getting sore. They also block noise really well - I used them on a train yesterday to protect against a screaming baby and I could barely hear anything except my music, which was fantastic and I would’ve given them a five star review for that alone.
All in all, these are great. I could have paid a lot more for these and I would still think they were really good value and high quality. Highly recommended. …

Great quality earphones at a great price.

The sound of the MA450i is incredibly clean and natural. The level of detail in music is remarkable, everything seems very well balanced. They seem able to handle all sorts of genres of music very well. Noise isolation is excellent thanks to the abundance of tips bundled with the headphones.
The build quality is good, the earbuds being made out of solid aluminium. The cable is fabric-wrapped and I don’t know whether it’s really ‘tangle-proof’ but I prefer the texture and it seems a bit more robust than the normal flimsy rubber cable.
The two-tone tips with hints of orange look really smart when they’re not in the ear. The aluminium buds have a high-gloss finish which looks great.
The remote is excellent. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPod Nano and the remote and mic work well with both, especially as a handsfree kit. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they worked with my MacBook and iTunes/Skype.
The buds come with a velour bag, and a box with six additional pairs of tips. Another bonus is that the buds come with a three year guarantee. This is impressive as I don’t think I’ve ever owned a pair for three years without something going wrong.
I’m very pleased with this purchase. Having tested them at the gym and at work, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. The MA450i cover so many different bases and do them all very, very well. Definitely give them a try if you’re looking for excellent sound, build and comfort quality at an affordable price. …

Clear, crisp well defined audio
Have been after a decent set of headphones that wouldn't break the bank or look cheap.
Got these and I have to say, even 3/4 cr Have been after a decent set of headphones that wouldn't break the bank or look cheap.
Got these and I have to say, even 3/4 cranked up there is no distortion and sound remains perfectly clear. You do get a bit of the stethescope effect whilst no music id playing with the cord rubbing off your clothes however this stops when the music starts.
If you want a good looking, well-built set of headphones on a budget, stop looking. You just found them. …

i had these for 9 months before the left side bud stopped producing sound. I got in touch with RHA, they wanted to see my receipt and witihin 3 days a brand new pair of these were on my doorstep, complete with a postage-paid return jiffy bag to send them the faulty pair so they could use them for research to understand why they went wrong.
their customer service is truly exceptional, and the products they build are just as good. …

Great sound quality, nice design and excellent service

I wanted a cheap pair of earphones that wouldn't kill me to lose or break, but still did justice to the music I was listening to out the house. These RHAs did not disappoint.
Apart from a narrower soundstage they are almost as good as the Grados. They don't have the same incredibly warm mids, the highs aren't as clean and defined, and the bass is a little fatter than I like. However, they're not as far apart as the prices would suggest and they're fun to listen to, which is the most important thing.
I liked them so much that when my dog ripped up my first pair I went out and bought another. I was pleased to see they revised the design to a right angle jack and sturdier construction, while they also sounded better out the box. The pouch is also no longer a felt dust magnet.
I was slightly disappointed when the right channel on the second pair died after two months, but the warranty claim only took two days - I submitted my claim on Tuesday, and a replacement arrived on Thursday. You'd be hard pressed to find a pair of high-end earphones with a 3 year warranty, let alone a budget model, and rarer still a claims process so hassle free.
I'm really pleased to see a homegrown company getting everything right, and they certainly deserve to become a big name in audio. …

Great sound quality but very poor manufacturing quality.
I bought these in October 2012 and loved them, the sound quality was great as was the noise cancelling, not to mention the longer I bought these in October 2012 and loved them, the sound quality was great as was the noise cancelling, not to mention the longer lead being handy.
By January the wiring was coming apart by the remote. I phoned Apple, got a replacement and by May the same thing was happening again. I got another replacement and by December 2013 the microphone stopped working. I've come to the conclusion that the quality of product build from RHA leaves a lot to be desired. Trying the Ultimate Ears 400vi next. …
