I love my smart cover and wouldn't be without it. It is exceptionally practical and enhances my iPad experience. It protects it we ll, and my pound shop neoprene case fits over it to prevent back scratches if I'm wanting to carelessly chuck it in my bag. Looks great, easy to attach and a good stand but offers very little protection. My iPad screen has a crack across it (no idea how) . Buy if you want to make your iPad look nice but not if you are expecting it to give extra protection. …

Disappointing
Not a good buy. The cover doesn't stay attached. Dropped iPad when the cover slid off. Loved the colour (pink) and it does look g ood but wouldn't recommend it. …

Awful product - steer well clear!
The title of my review seems a little sensationalist, but allow me to explain:
This case looks great, fits great and protects the entire iPad. It even has a few nice touches (covered volume and power buttons).
BUT - and this is a big but. The case is also supposed to support the iPad when watching movies/reading etc and this it spectacularly fails to do and may lead to the death of your iPad. In portrait orientation, it's not great, but almost usable, but in landscape, it's much worse and is too flimsy to stop it from toppling over, which lead to my wifes iPad hitting a tiled floor. We were lucky because I got my foot under it to break the fall, but it could so easily have lead to it breaking. Better options are available at a lot less, investigate those first. This is the poorest accessory I have seen Apple produce and they should be ashamed to their failure to test it adequately before selling it. Great concept but stains too easily.
I bought this cover today and within hours it had picked up a conspicious stain on the front which would not come off. Gutted. Was hoping it would be more durable. I was being so careful with it too. …
