    DO NOT buy this to power the iPad in a car. It struggles to give the required juice.

    I have had two (first one burned out after trying to charge iPad for 4 hrs without a full recharge). Second one struggles again and so give up. Just use it for the iPhone. Hope this helps so that you don't buy another charger and so waste the money on the hope of charging the iPad when on a long journey away from an electrical supply!

    P.S. I was wanting to use Navigon app to find my home but couldn't because the charger stopped working and so now I will wait until someone out there makes a charger that does juice the iPad up.

    Agree with previous reviewer, this is rubbish. Lasted about 1 hour then gave up.

    I purchased this as i'd tried others had they did not work. Contrary to the other reviews this has worked great for me.

    I tested it with 90% power and whilst watching a movie and browsing the internet after 30mins it was 100%.

    I think the problem may be with the cars charging point, some cars don't have enough juice going to them.

    I thought buying an in car charger from Apple would mean it would be decent but this car charger doesn't even fit in the socket! My sat Nav works fine but this is awful! I don't even know if I can get my money back as I am applying on 18 th day as it took ages to arrive and i was on holiday.
