Great!

Just works since the day I took it out of the box. No reboots, no slow service. The device is transparent - exactly what you want from a wireless netwroking device. Delivers great reception throughout the house. I keep this in a enclosed bookshelf, on top of my DVR (not the best location), and it just plugs away. No overheating, no worries. Highly recommended. …More

This is the best wireless router that I have found on the market and have used. I have never had to reset this
, never had any kick offs like with other routers. I have it in my basements, in my office. My wife works upstairs
. She has a mac book pro and I have the 24 IMac, waiting for my new 27 coming today. I have my work PC set up along with a wireless printer and a shared printer as well. …More161 of 176 people found this useful

I love these things!

I now have two of these. The first one acts like a normal wireless router. The second one I purchased because my new HD TV and Blu ray player can be connected by a cat5 cable to the internet for streaming movies and updates. I set up the second one to extend the first one in about 10 minutes. The first one is downstairs and my TV setup is upstairs. The second airport also gives my wireless network a boost upstairs in my house. I never had a dead spot but I sure do have a maximum signal now. …More

Solved my wireless problems.

I moved from a 1000 SF house to a 2000 SF house recently. I had a Super G wireless router and I thought it was a good one and would work. I set up a work PC along with my MacBook and all looked good. Then, I tried to VPN to the office and work on the PC. The signal would fluctuate so much I would lose the connection and have to reconnect and hope for a better signal. This happened several times a day. I went online and looked at N routers. The reviews said Airport Extreme was rated the highest so I happily went with Apple. Today I worked wireless on the PC and never lost the signal. The signal dropped to 84% twice but rarely went below 94%--no matter the number of tasks I was doing. I'm very pleased with the product and have already recommended it to a friend. …More

Let me get this straight: I can plug my ethernet cable into Airport Extreme and it converts my current internet service to wireless? Or am I way off?
- Asked by CD from Mascotte

Best Answer
Actually you are spot on. That is the whole purpose really of AirPort. As you say, plug in your ethernet cable and the AirPort Extreme Base Station, set it up and it becomes your wireless access point for your home, office or wherever you will be using it. It will allow any computer, Mac or PC to wirelessly connect to the internet provided, of course that you have an ISP (Internet Service Provider) and it also has dual Band Wi-Fi so any Wi-Fi device will also use it to connect like an iPod Touch or iPhone.
You can also plug a USB printer into it so that any computer on your network can print wirelessly as well. You can even plug in a USB hard Drive into the base station for use as a network drive which can also be accessed over the web if you are away. If you own a PS3 or XBOX the base station will also allow you to connect those devices wirelessly to your network. …More- Answered by CB from Schenectady

Does Airport Extreme provide a greater range than Airport Express?
- Asked by PS from Guildford
- 1-Oct-2009
Best Answer
Technically no, but for certain customers, their environments may make it seem so. Wireless interference is one of the main causes for certain customers having a bad experience with the Airport products. Take note of how many other wireless networks are around and what devices are in the same area that utilize similar wireless technology. The Airport devices use same wireless technology and consist of the same hardware. With the Airport Extreme, you get the Dual-band feature and the extra ethernet ports.
Hope this helps. …More- Answered by KR from Folsom
