Griffin PowerDock 4 Charging Base for 4 iPod or iPhone Models
So Far, not so good
Written by TP from san pablo

I was so excited to receive this on Friday. I ripped open the box, set it up and soon was proudly displaying his and hers Iphones and 4G Nanos, charging on the bedstand. Now I could sleep with my babies close.
First night great. Saturday found all four charged up and ready to go. Then the nightmare began. Saturday night's sleep was peppered with flashing lights and beeps as (for no apparent reason) the screen light would come on on one or both of the Nano's. Then the Iphones started beeping with that I-just-started-charging sound. Too tired to figure it out at 3am, I removed all the items and went back to sleep.
This morning the problem was obvious. The charger was not working. The beeping was the sound of the unit starting to charge, then immediatley stopping (then starting, then then stopping and so forth). I can only assume the lighted screen was the same problem.
So, $80 with shipping - 24 hours of great charging. Not so good. …More110 of 120 people found this useful

Not operating properly

Same problem as previous review. I was excited to set this up for our family of iPhones and iPods. Once set up, it immediately started beeping - NONSTOP! Every 2-5 seconds, all devices would chime with the "just-got-plugged-in" charging sound. Not sure why this is happening, but it's maddening. This product will be returned. Bummer, because I was so excited to have this product solve our multi-device charging problem. …More

Griffin PowerDock 4 Charging Base for 4 iPod or iPhone Models
It seemed so simple

Once the phones/ipod are resting in the cradle, they go on and off as if they've just been plugged in. Sometimes there are minutes between beeps, sometimes seconds. I didn't think making a cradle would be that difficult. $70! Ridiculous.
I thought mine was broken and exchanged it for a new one. The one I have now beeps less often but beeps nonetheless. I will be returning it. …More50 of 54 people found this useful
