    Amazing

    • Written by from Northfield

The speakers are amazing, however, whenever you play them too loud, and there is alot of bass, the bass muffles the treble whenever the two are played together. - for example, the treble will be playing and then a big pulse/bass will chime in and muffle and take away from the treble. The only setback i can think of.

    Favorite speakers ever!

    • Written by from Rapid City

Wow wow wow!!!! These speakers are wonderful and I love them! The things I don't like are their clunky, awkward shape and that they need so many cables. But their performance writes out those problems. The bass is amazing, and I enjoy plugging in my iPod and simply listening to it through these powerful speakers. I definitely recommend these speakers!

    Great for their price!!!

    • Written by from Freeport

I really enjoy these speakers, they are an excellent sound for how cheap they are. They really live up to the Bose name. I highly recommend these speakers. If you're looking for good speakers and don't want to pay a high price, these are the ones you've been looking for. The only problem I've come across is when they are at a high volume they sound bassy. Overall, they are very good speakers!!!

    Whoa...

    • Written by from Mililani

These speakers blew my mind. At first, I wanted the Logitech Z 2300 speakers but after seeing the actual size and price I resorted to these Bose speakers and I have to say I don't regret it one bit. Even though it doesn't have a subwoofer, the bass just bleeds through these speakers vibrating the walls in my room...
Using the headset feature however made the audio somewhat softer than if I were to plug it into my computer's headset jack but once again these are computer speakers.
If you're looking for moderately priced speakers with a brand name that you can trust, go for these! Trust me, you won't regret it.

    Good Buy, Too Much Bass

    • Written by from Hoboken

These speakers sound fantastic, but there is actually TOO MUCH bass for my taste. I wish there was a way to lower it, but the only way I can with my MacBook Pro is to edit the EQ settings in iTunes & Quicktime. Plugging my iPod in also gave too much bass, but selecting the "Bass Reducer" EQ setting on the iPod fixes the issue.

That being said, these are still fantastic speakers. The sound is rich and full and one of the best buys you can find for the price tag.

    SPEAKER CASES ARE BLACK

    • Written by from Lenexa

First of all before I critique the speakers, I will say for the money they have excellent sound.

I do think that the product photo is a misrepresentation of their true color. The only thing silver on the speakers is the grill. I was excited thinking that the entire speaker would be silver to match my Mac Book Pro and Cinema Display. In fact the metallic that is on the front doesn't match the mac products.

If I was expecting the black backs then I would give them a 5 star review. I am disappointed because they don't match my set up very well.

    Bose Brillaint

    • Written by from Haslemere

Lost my Teac speakers after a short in the woofer. As I have a Bose Lifestyle system, quiet comfort headphones, and a Bose Wave Radio I thought I would give these a try. OK so they are not in the same league as my lifestyle system but at a fraction of the cost they are still amazing. The base is deep and rich and I cannot believe the overall tone and stereo effect, simply stunning. If you have problems with these I suspect the fault is elsewhere.

    Great speakers only two flaws.

    • Written by from Jonesboro

These speakers are great. I received them for christmas and so far I love the sound quality. Personally, it produces too much bass and there is no adjustment for it, so I had to use the equalizer on itunes to reduce the bass. Also, the main problem is that there is no on or off switch. I don't know if you're supposed to leave them on or not, but there is only one volume knob and that's it. Other than these two issues, they are great speakers and it's definitely worth the buy.

    Great speakers

    • Written by from Avondale

I've had mine for a year now and it works really good. I think you can never go wrong with Bose. And for its price, it's worth every penny. These speakers can fill up a room easily even at 50% volume. I get compliments every time anybody sees and hears it perform. I love 'em.

    Dissapointing

    • Written by from Milwaukee

I went and bought these speakers to compliment my macbook that sits on my desk at home. I have to say that the whole way to the apple store and back all I could hear was the wonderful sound I thought bose had. When I got home and hooked them up I was quite dissapointed. Bass is not as clean as any other bose I have ever heard and the treble... My altec lansing speakers for the money in my opinion... better.

I was surprised that I was surprised!

    • Written by from Glendale

I needed something that was small enough to put on a desk without having to go Rambo on a speaker system. I had my apprehensions about going with a Bose 2-speaker set. When I finally connected everything and fired up the music, I was completely blown away at how great these sounded. I would absolutely recommend the Companion 2II to anyone!

    Great at the office

    • Written by from Santa Monica

These sound great and allow me to plug my iPod into the speakers at my office. No need to switch between sources, the speakers just handle both inputs at the same time. I do not have my music on that computer, so this works very well. All kinds of music sounds great. The bass is great for an office environment -- it is there, sounds great, does not rattle the windows, or the person in the next office. These also sound very good at both high and low volumes.

The "Big Bose Sound" in 2 small speakers, amazing!

    • Written by

I recently purchased these speakers for my brand new flatscreen tv, and another pair for my mac. The sound is outstanding, you can not ask for any better! It almost sounds better than my entertainment center speakers. . for $100, the Bose name, and jaw dropping sound, why are you even questioning buying these speakers?

I got these to go with my imac intel. They are great. The only thing that I would put into concideration is that at loud vol they get kinda choppy and quiet but overall Great speakers

Crisp Clear Sound at a good price.

    • Written by from Sterling

These sound amazing especially for the price. The sound is crisp and clear and the sounds really come through. With the addition of my subwoofer it is amazing. If you like bass, you will need a subwoofer! They don't offer much power in the low range.

Also, they are immune to the iphone rf interference, go magnetic shielding!
