Reviews for Apple iPad Dock

We love this dock, so much we just bought another one. My husband hooks it up to his speakers out in the shop & just streams all day while he's creating. The one we just bought is going to be hooked up to the Bose so we can stream away in the house! The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that you do have to jiggle it sometimes to get it to connect just right. Don't let the negative reviews bother you. You just have to be smarter than the device. Can't fix "stupid"

Perfect if you use your iPad for listening to books, or use it for an alarm/clock. You can connect speakers to the stand. For what it does, the price is fair in my opinion.

Sits right on my nightstand and if my tv out then i watch sometin on netflex and look at it from my bed

Simple yet useful!

It does the job & does it good. While I don't expect Apple to make a dock that can function with every case. I do expect more from Apple.

The iPad 2 was designed along with the smart cover. If Apple designed the two to go together, you would think the dock would allowed room for the smart cover. Instead you have to either remove it or open it before docking.

Apple, we have come to expect "it just works" unfortunately this is not the case with 2 accessories designed by Apple, specifically for 1 device designed by you. Your better than this.

I would give 5 stars if they had designed it to have it's own power supply, so you could charge and connect to a computer at the same time. Seems like that's what a fully functional dock should do. As it is, you can *either* charge it with the 10W USB adapter, or connect it to your computer's USB port, not both. But for what it is, it works great. I use it to charge, placed where it also functions as a great digital picture frame.

Somebody mentioned there was another product that did all this better but I don't know what it is. This dock is more stable than the previous one so it protects the iPad2 better. I don't know of anything that will fast-charge the device and allow syncing at the same time. No computer that I have will give 2 amps out of a USB port so wire swapping is part of owning an iPad. The placement of the 30 pin plug pretty much dictates a vertical mounting, doesn't it? If a slow charge is enough for you, than leaving the dock plugged into a USB port will eliminate wire swapping. Also, be advised that not all 3rd party cables will pass on the 2 amps. Get one that is "iPad" rated, not just iPhone or iPod. I'm a happy camper.

This stand is great very well made the wieght balance in this dock is very good trust my i pad in it no problem and love the ability to connect external speakers and sync from the ports in the back just an overall great dock.
