    Terrible Product

The mouse does not open links correctly. Once you click it gives you dialogue box similar to a right click that you cant click off of. The scrolling touch mouse does not work either. WORST APPLE PRODUCT EVER.

    Extremely disappointed

    • Written by from Pulaski

This is the worst mouse yet. I love everything about Apple products except the mouse. I have been using a PC mouse for the last 4 years I have had my Mac...the Mac mouse sits in a box. I thought they had finally gotten it right, but I was wrong! This "mouse" is slow and unresponsive as they have always been!

    Terrible

I generally really enjoy apple products but the magic mouse is awful. I've had so many problems with it - everything from having to replace the batteries twice a week (seriously) to constant disconnecting and reconnecting so much that it's unusable. I've even called apple and the best answer they can give me is to buy new batteries. Do not buy this product.

It is sad that a logitech smokes any mouse made by apple

    • Written by from Midland

I have not used an apple's mouse for a long time. #1 Lack of controls. #2 The most uncomfortable shape for the human hand and idiotic design. This product is serious waste of plastic. Apple, why is it so hard for you guys to come up with a user friendly and comfortable mouse?

    Disappointing

Loses connection, jumpy, and sometimes the battery cover just opens for no reason. I usually like Apple products for all the obvious reasons, but this one has been a waste of money, unfortunately.

    Wow, really bad!

    • Written by from Aurora

The mouse loses it's connection constantly and sometimes it seems to just freeze up and you can't get it to move and you have to switch it off then on. If you are in the middle of a game or other program you just lose everything. Nice idea but very flawed!

This mouse loses its connection to the computer in the middle of any task. It happens every day, usually several times, and requires a reboot to reestablish the connection. It often loses the connection after a period of "sleep" and again, requires a reboot. MOST ANNOYING !! Don't throw your wired mouse away!!!

Jumpy, makes you work twice as hard... Why release something so imperfect?

    • Written by from LOS ANGELES

The title pretty much sums up my review of this product. Apple can do amazing things, but sometimes in their pursuit of being "the firstest with the bestest" they release technologies where they haven't worked out the bugs for all of their users. I do not have an extraordinary work environment, yet the mouse does not let me select and click on any of my desired items with any ease like a hardwired mouse does, no matter the battery power, distance from the computer, etc... And I really SHOULDN'T have to do this dance. The thing should work out of the box, as it is. I shouldn't have to call apple support, as I have several times, to get it to work. So I have spent $50? (I don't really remember now) and will have now spend an additional sum this morning to buy a hard wired apple mouse that works. Here's an idea for you Apple. Why don't you actually do testing in Cupertino instead of releasing products and having your customers do the testing for you. It's not really the way to operate a business and it is starting to get to be really, really annoying. And this ain't the first time. Maybe "Think Different" might mean "Do It Right The First Time". Think about it...

Keeps losing connection with the computer

    • Written by from Hollywood

This mouse is terrible. I have had to restart my computer several times because the mouse, all of the sudden, stops working and lose the connection. I have lost all my work several times because you can be stuck with no way to get it around your mac if you only owns this mouse. If you decide to buy it, make sure you have a wire mouse as a back up

This is the worst Apple mouse I have owned. The previous ones were bad but this beat them all. Had to move my Mini less than 2' from the mouse and it is still erratic and behaves as with a mind of it's own when moving the mouse cursor. Movement feels "rubbery" at times and is very inaccurate. Save your money and get another brand and with a USB cable because this one goes through rechargeable batteries pretty fast.

    FRAGILE

    • Written by from Yorba Linda

This mouse is great while it works. It breaks very easily simply by putting it into your computer bag (In my case a rolling Tumi bag). This is the second one and final one in the last 6 months. They just stop working - and no it is not battery related. I am an IT professional and no rookie to technology. This thing is WAY to FRAGILE!

This mouse is pretty - and that's about the only thing going for it. If the mouse isn't literally right next to my MacBook Air the Bluetooth connection is so unresponsive and laggy that it's essentially useless.

    What a tease!

    • Written by from Spokane

I've had this mouse for less than a year. I was very impressed with how it worked. I loved every feature about it. Then it quit working. I can still scroll up and down , and left and right click, but I can't move the cursor around. Luckily I have my old Mighty Mouse, so I can still use that. I've looked online to try to find ways to fix it, but nothing has worked. I then tried to call apple to have them help me, but I would need to shell out more money for that, which is a major disappointment. In the end, I wouldn't recommend this mouse to anyone, which is unfortunate, because I really did like it until it quit working.

Not meant For Doing Real Work

    • Written by from Baulkham Hills

Its nice in theory but not ideal for my weekly 9-5 Product / Graphic Design work.

Firstly, theres no way to use a middle or third button without installing a third party software that modifies the device. That means its useless for all your CAD programs if you're in that industry. Secondly, the form is pretty but I've noticed a significant increase of pain in my right arm from manipulating it all day. Thirdly it tends to cut out or freeze more often then the "mighty mouse".

My conclusion - If you're planning on using it in a job where you have to hold a mouse all day long, stick to the Mighty Mouse with its middle button plus 360 scrolling capability.

Always been an Apple user and using this mouse 10 hours a day for 5 weeks straight with a new iMac. (Audio Production: Logic Pro/Pro Tools)

    Main problems:

Intermittently losing blue tooth connection (Not Connected) happens 4 times a day with fresh batteries. About 5 seconds to reconnect.

    - If you like setting your mouse tracking to fast (so you don't have to move your hand as much) then this is not for you. At fastest setting it still only operates at 70% compared to any other mouse.

    - Too much drag caused by 2 full length bars under the mouse and of course 2 x AA batteries.

    - Remembering to turn it off when I shut down? How about my iMac sends a blue tooth message to my mouse turning it off, or at least some form of motion detection adjustable in system preferences so when it's idol for 5 minutes it turns off.

    - Still not used to the touch surface thing randomly scrolling 10 minutes down a time line whilst editing... bahhhh.....

Great, if it weren't an ergonomic disaster.

    • Written by from Chicago

Perhaps one day apple will make a mouse with any regard for user comfort, but it hasn't happened yet. Multitouch is nice, but I found this mouse to be totally unusable for serious work. My hands cramp up after about 10 minutes, and I don't have particularly large hands. I ditched this mouse and bought a logitech performance mouse, which is great. If you need multitouch gestures, the magic trackpad is a vastly better option.
