iPod nano Armband
Review simplified
Written by AS from Edmonton
1-Sep-2009
PRO: It stays on while I run, is decently comfortable, fits the nike sports kit and is snug enough I have confidence my ipod wont fall out. The ipod loads into the case from the bottom, something I like.
CON: The wheel is not sensative enough to properly control my ipod through it if it requires scrolling and not just clicking.
FUTURE CONCERNS: My concern for the future is that the velcro will wear down and come undone while I am running.
CONCLUSION: Decent product. Could be improved by not having the wheel covered. That really is the only disadvantage I have experienced so far with this product.54 of 62 people found this useful

iPODS and Armbands
Written by JM from Brisbane
16-Aug-2009
Anyone considering using an iPOD NANO for exercise, don't bother. I purchased a NANO in Brisbane, Australia with an Armband for the sole purpose of running with it. Little did I know the Armband provides no protection from mositure and although it is promoted for exercise, a bit of sweat in the ear phone jacks and it's all over. Warrenty VOID! Don't get caught like I did. My NANO I used 3 times and I can now throw it away. Apple don't want to know. I also got the run around in servicing. Finally on the third attempt, one store told me the mositure indicator which is inside the headphone jack port was lite pink or red and that VOIDS WARRENTY. How did this happen - well using it in the normal manner but wearing a shirt with sleeves that were rubbing against the iPOD whilst running. A good workout will see your iPOD ruined!

oh come on, it's not THAT bad!!!!
Written by SH from port washington

I use this armband practically every day. I agree, it's not perfection, but
I'm so glad that I bought mine before I read some of the reviews! I look forward
to a more improved model, one where getting the nano out of the holder is a tiny
bit easier but all in all this band WORKS, and it looks nice too. I recommend it,
obviously, and I think it is gift-worthy, too.40 of 66 people found this useful

thumbs down
Written by PW from Calgary

A disappointment as it seems that it was rushed out to have something available. Not pratical for anybody with any size to their arms and when it is worn it has sharp rubbing edges. Velcro is poorly spaced, I wear it at the gym and it is constantly coming undone.

Not so good
Written by CP from tempe

It looks cool but it is almost impossible to remove the iPod once it is in the case. I stopped using the iPod just because it was so difficult to remove it from the casing. Save your money and buy something else folks!

Not a fan
Written by TG
21-Jul-2009
Im not a fan of the armband, it is difficult to change the controls and never seem to work well for me when I was working out. I have not seen many armbands out there for it and thats why I settled on this one, it wasn't that cheap either. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't have gone with it if I could of found a different one.

Disappontment
Written by MK

I am from Slovenia, but got recently this arm band as a present from a friend who went to London. It is expensive and very bad quality: after two weeks the slackened all around and now I cannot even to claim it back since the store is so far away. And also the design is ugly, I would suggenst the elastic trap, so it could fit to everyin's arm and also everywhere on the arm. I also don't like that the hold button is covered. I am totaly disappointed!!!

good overall!
Written by KD from Shawnee

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this product. I've had no problems with the plastic being too thick or anything having cheap construction. I purchased it six months ago, and have had no discoloration or any other problems for that matter. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is because, when my brother used it to run, a little sweat got in the case and on the ipod. However, it was nowhere near enough to damage the thing.

Bad design
Written by RL from Kennebunkport

I agree with MS in San Francisco; pushing and pulling the iPod in and out of the band is aggravating. I ended up throwing it away because I bent the plastic so bad that it wouldn't work right when I would try to use the menu on the iPod. This was a waste of money.

Good, but some design flaws
Written by AB from Saint John
19-Apr-2009
PROS: I find the armband comfortable and easy to get on/off (I put the ipod in before putting it on my arm). I've had no problems using the clickwheel. The armband leaves room for Nike+.
CONS: The color is entirely unpractical. I've only worn mine 4 times and it is already getting dirty. The quality of construction is also questionnable. The first time I wore mine, I had to reattach one of the velcro circles as it was coming off. By the third use, I had to reattach another one.154 of 172 people found this useful

Where's Apple's Quality Control?
Written by MS from San Francisco
11-Apr-2009
I give this one star because I HAVE TO. This armband is THE WORST!! I've gotten the blue ones a couple of times before and that one was fine except the velco was weak, so I thought I'd try a new. NOT this one!!
It was so tight that it took me 10 minutes to force my Nano into the thing. And THEN I found out there's no opening in the top so I had to pull it back out (ANOTHER 10 minutes) to unlock it and then deal with forcing it BACK in!!
Also, when you put it all the way in, it doesn't line up well with the windows so it's VERY hard to use the 'forward' and 'back' arrows and almost impossible to use the volume control.
I feel that this was money totally wasted. I'm a little upset that Apple even allows whoever it is to sell this through their store.
Do NOT buy this armband. Bad ideas (no opening in the top) VERY poorly executed.140 of 158 people found this useful

Hold Button - No Opening Design Flaw
Written by KB from Durham
9-Apr-2009
This band is great, but for the newest Nano the hold button is now at the top, and they've left no opening to easily switch it on and off. This means you have to remove your headphones and take the nano all the way out of the holder every time you want to put in on hold. A big OOPS in the design of it. I cut a hole in the top so I wouldn't have to keep taking it off. I hope they fix this soon.

I don't know if I like using the armband or not because the case is so tight, I can't get the iPod in it to use it and I'm not a weakling!!! It seemed like such a good idea, but it's a waste of money.

Pretty Good, Just a Couple of Complaints....
Written by MK from Winter Springs
28-Feb-2009
I really like this armband, but there are a couple of things to complain about.....
For one, the new iPod has that "shaking" option where it shuffles songs. When I use my nano, I am basically just dancing and stuff, but it changes songs on me. If there was a way to turn it off, this armband would be great, but since I can't use the hold button, it's erritating.
And second, I have a small arm, and so it doesn't fit my arm. (I've tried different companies armbands too, they don't fit either) I usually wear a jacket, because I get cold easily, so then it fits, but if I start to get sweaty, I take off my jacket, and it no longer fits me.
Other than a couple of things to tweak, it is a great product.86 of 122 people found this useful

Great Case
Written by MK from GREAT FALLS
10-Jan-2009
I love this product this is the best case i have ever found that perfectly fits my ipod. People say that it falls apart but if its taken care of properly you wont have that problem. I run with this case everyday and i have for 3 years and its in about the same condition it was when i got it. If you are looking for a case to run with this one is your best option
