    Best Keyboard Ever Owned

    • Written by from McKinney

I bought a Mac in 2008. I loved the keyboard so much that I bought another for my work PC. It's the best keyboard I have used - Mac or Windows.

    Evolution

    • Written by from Brooklyn

This is absolutely the most impressive typing tool I've ever used. The effort required to depress a key is cut by more than half, allowing the user to double their typing speed. As odd as it sounds, I feel honored to have unlimited access to this keyboard. The price isn't bad either! Get some compressed air if you're going to buy this.

    A Suggestion for Apple

    • Written by from Noblesville

The keys are very responsive and I prefer it over my old and huge Microsoft keyboard I used with my MacBook. It is slim and even though it is wired is portable to fit in a backpack. The only suggestion I have to Apple is to completely eliminate the USB cable like they have done with the smaller one. That way I can free up an extra USB slot on my MacBook (there are only two). If you plan on doing mostly desk work, this is the keyboard for you. Not only will it save you $20.00, but it also has the numeric pad. Do not hesitate buying a wired keyboard in anticipation for this one to be updated as BlueTooth because Apple wants to sell the smaller one at the same time. I know this is the simple accessory everyone quietly hopes for!!!

    Wireless 10 key keyboard please

    • Written by from Saint Augustine

I have the wireless keyboard with my iMac quad core i5, but needed the 10 key functions, so I pennied up and purchased the wired 10 key keyboard. It feels great and is super quiet. It looks awesome with the iMac [if you don't look at the wire :-) ]
OKAY APPLE, make a wireless 10 keyboard so I can be one of the millions with a wireless keyboard without 10 key, a wired 10 key keyboard, and (hopefully) a wireless 10 key keyboard. How cool would all three keyboards next to each other on my desk? If you build it, they will buy it.

...Agree. This is the perfect keyboard but why Apple do you not make a wireless version??? This just doesn't make sense. You're the world leaders in electronics design & the ultimate in form & function. Why then am I tethered to my imac when i could be lounged back away from the desktop? Please consider a wireless version. I'd even wait another month for the next iPhone. :<]

    Best Apple keyboard ever!

    • Written by from Lake Forest Park

This is the best Apple keyboard ever, and certainly ranks better than the previous "white" keyboard. I use it for about half of my computer time, plugged into my MacBook Pro. What I like best is the design with the exact same form, size, and feel as my laptop. I was simply bowled over by it.

The key response is crisp and tactile. Keys are big and forgiving of off center hits. The wrist angle is even more comfortable, as I can now hold my wrists flat on the desk to relieve stress. Much better than the foam wrist braces I have occasionally had to use.

It even feels better than my old extended keyboard II, which I have missed since I sold it 15 years ago.

Well, not any more. This sleek beauty preforms as great as it looks. The only keyboard I like better is the one on my MacBook Pro, but then, nothing can touch my MBP!

    Awesome & Dishwasher safe (seriously)

    • Written by from Belmont

This keyboard has been great. It performs. What else can you say? It is a keyboard.

Here is where it shines. We had a MAJOR wine spill on the keyboard. Tried to mop it up as quickly as possible while yelling profanities. Things weren't looking good when the keyboard dried and it started making the computer do funky things (presumably because the command or option key seemed to be stuck). So, we were out of luck and took a gamble with the good old dishwasher treatment. No soap. No heat dry. "Light" cycle. Wrapped plastic baggie around end of USB cable, although I am sure that was just to make us feel better about the whole endeavor. SO, keyboard survived the wash and after waiting 4-5 days for it to dry (since you can't open these keyboards us), the thing works like a champ. No problem keys whatsoever. WORD OF WARNING: Just give it enough time to dry!

    great keyboard

    • Written by from New york

been using this now for about two years. I type with my wrists leaning on the table, so I love the fact that its low profile, so I don't have to bend my wrists to type. Also like the feel of the keys, with short keystrokes.

Only issue I had was I spilt soda on it once, and the keys became sticky. Tried taking them off and cleaning them by hand and the stickiness prevailed. Then I read somewhere that you can run this keyboard through the dishwasher to fix the issue. It worked out great and the stickiness went away.

    Ergonomic & Full Featured!

    • Written by from Villa Park

I'm a professional photographer who's been a mac user for 15 years. This has been my favorite keyboard of all time.

The low profile is a joy to type on. I love having the number keys and custom f keys which I use all the time. I also prefer a cable connected keyboard to a wireless any day. Who wants to change batteries every month? It's been nothing but a headache. I've been there.

Unlike a prior review my iPhone 4 syncs beautifully over the USB 2.0 Ports on this keyboard with no 'low power' warnings or what have you. That may have to do with the power of the port the keyboard is actually plugged into. I'm using the new quad-core 27" iMac. I know that my 5 year old white 20" core due iMac has given me such low power warnings when plugging into that keyboard's USB port.

I recommend this to anyone with a mac. I ordered mine as an election for my iMac but my wife wants me to order another one for her to use on our white iMac with the old style high profile keys.

    Typist's dream

    • Written by from EVERGREEN PARK

I'm an Administrative Assistant and my boss is computer illiterate - he either handwrites or dictates his emails. I noticed that with my Mac keyboard at home, I can type like the wind, compared to the ordinary Dell/PC keyboard at the office. The distance from fingertip to electronic impulse is about half that of the PC keyboard, and therefore typing speed is much faster. Apple seems to have "reinvented the wheel" - and make my life a whole lot easier.

    Great Product...

    • Written by from DeSoto

This keyboard is by far one of the best keyboards that I have used. The sleek design makes desk space wonderful and looks awesome too. It would be great if Apple were to make it in different colors though. The white keys seem to pick up dirft very easy. I think the silver background would look really sharp with black keys. It would also be better for clean up. Over all I love my Apple keyboard.

    The Apple Keyboard w/Numeric Keypad

    • Written by from seattle

I love the new apple keyboard. so thin my desk looks so uncluttered it's amazing. I don't mind the fact that it has a cord and find the numeric keypad very useful. I replaced my old iMac keyboard with it as soon as i got it and am now typing on it.

    Possibly, the greatest keyboard ever.

    • Written by from Prairie View

I have been through 4 keyboards for my custom built Windows PC. A Gateway, Logitech Classic Keyboard 200, Logitech Keyboard K120, and my best Christmas present ever, the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad. I'm using it now, and it's the best ever. Ultra-thin, awesome aluminum, thin keys, ergonomic heaven. This keyboard will help me get more homework done faster, and play online more. Thank you Apple, for descending from the heavens, and forming in 1976. To really reach your full potential with this keyboard and so much more. The only pain is I had to reconnect the keyboard a few times. That isn't even anywhere near enough to put a dent in the 5 star rating.

    Excellent product!

    • Written by from Jacksonville

I purchased this keyboard to replace the bulky wireless keyboard that came with my iMac and honestly give props to Apple on this one. The keyboard is ridiculously thin and feels great to type on. The keys themselves are smooth, elegant and evenly spaced, a perfect combination for someone with large hands like myself. I was considering the other wireless aluminum keyboard, but it's no larger than a MacBook's keyboard and feels sorta funky for a desktop. In addition to this, the wired keyboard saves money on battery replacements, so it's a sound decision in terms of ergonomics and economics.
