    Pleasemakethespacebarwork!

    • Written by from Greenville

It may be because of my typing style, but it seems I have to hit the space bar ridiculously hard to get it to register, and I often have to slow WAY down to ensure I don't get joined words. Other than that, I like it... but this one thing is pretty important when it comes to keyboard usage.

    Apple Keyboard

Hands down the best keyboard I have ever used. My typing speed has improved dramatically. You can also eat your danish in the morning without worrying about the crumbs falling down between the keys.

    Apple Keyboard w/Numeric Keypad

    • Written by from Duluth

I used to read these reviews and say "well that is not me" or "what a shame" but now I've been burned....my keyboard works fine but I have had my numeric key pad for exactly a year and today 3/28/14 it has gone bye bye...so sad...I love Apple products and this is the first product that has failed me...sadly disappointed.

    THE only keyboard I use

    • Written by from Oakdale

These thin keyboards are comfortable, responsive, light, and easy to type on. I don't feel pain or discomfort in my wrists due to the thin design. I have two of these and use them instead of my laptop keyboard. Excellent in every way! THE BEST!!!

I have a keyboard from 1995. This one died after one year and a half

    • Written by from ALTAMONTE SPRINGS

Anyway, this is guaranteed to get you spending another $50 every year and a bit. It's pretty okay as a keyboard, and the usb things on the side are probably the one feature that saves it. However it won't last you. You will spend another $50 13 months from now.

    Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad

    • Written by from Fresno

    PROS: Keyboard

CONS: USB extension cable. WARNING - for Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad ONLY !

A sort of proprietary USB 2.0 connection that will not fit any other USB device or cable. As a result physical damage can occur if connected ( I damaged a cable itself and a 4 Gb drive due to this)

Apple please provide an additional replacement and supply via store of extension cables alone. I will gladly pay to get a new one...

    Thank you

    At last the perfect keyboard.

    • Written by from charlemagne

I got this keyboard about a week ago, and it is quite possibly the best keyboard ever made. Well, not everyone will agree with me I guess. But if, like me, you're tired of hearing noisy keys, and keys with too long a travel, keys that get stuck over time because of poor plastic components, and keyboards that take a lot of space on your work area, then this one's for you.

This keyboard takes very little space, is virtually silent, keys feel great without too much travel, and it looks amazing too! The touch can be compared to a laptop computer.

I am not a pro, nor do I possess a professional typist technique, so I guess people who are used to "full size, standard-typewriter-type" keyboards will have to adjust a little, as the spacing of the keys is somewhat closer.

My only (small) complaints: the "return" or "enter" key is a little too small to my taste, and the two USB connectors provided are not powerful enough to use recharge my Ipad while I'm using it. They still can, however, recharge it very slowly if the Ipad is in sleep mode.

Overall, for me it's the best $50 I've ever spent on a keyboard. But I understand people who might disagree with me. So my best advice to you is to go to a store which has one on display, and try it out for yourself before buying it.

    Great keyboard

    • Written by from Kotka

Excellent feel, light touch, lovely design. What more is there to say? This is the first time in half a decade that I haven't missed my ancient full-size Apple ADB keyboard.

    Poorly designed USB ports

    • Written by from Barrô AGD

The Apple keyboard is a superb product except for the USB ports: they're underneath the keyboard so you cannot connect a larger pen disc. The USB slot should be located much closer to the edge of the keyboard, or on the back, as in previous keyboards.

Flat, slightly slanted keyboard, responsive lightening-fast keys, absolutely SILENT performance! Smooth operation, lots of function keys placed in useful and convenient positions. Easily useable with my gel wrist support. Able to type faster and more accurately than ever. WOW!

    It's the BEST

    • Written by from North Canton

I got a new iMac at work 7 months ago and it came with this newer version keyboard. It took a few days to get used to, but I absolutely LOVE IT! I'm a graphic designer and have no problem with the design. In fact, I type faster. I have an older iMac at home with the white keyboard and will order this new design for home. The older style takes more "finger punch." I think it must be similar to the feeling Liberaci must have had when he practiced with weights on his fingers and then, when removed, his fingers seemed weightless and just flew over the piano keys. I have worked as a full-time graphics person for over 20 years and have no carpel tunnel problems. For those with problems with the tilt of this keyboard, you may want to look at the height of your keyboard in relationship to the degree of bend in your elbows.

    AWESOME

    • Written by from Thomasville

I have this keyboard at my house. Even though I use a Macbook instead of an iMac I still switch keyboards when at home. The only reason I'm giving this review 4/5 stars is because I think that Apple should incorporate the backlight technology into these keyboards! I would definitely buy another

    Numeric Keypad in Bootcamp Vista

    • Written by from Eden Hills

I've read a few reviews complaining that the numeric keypad doesn't work in Bootcamp because there is no "num-lock" key... All you have to do is navigate through windows' clumsy start menu to find the "on screen keyboard" and click on the num-lock key on that.

With this little annoyance out of the way this keyboard is fantastic. I love the low profile keys because it feels the same as my macbook air keyboard.

    Just a GREAT Keyboard!!!

    • Written by from huntington

I was very hesitant on purchasing this keyboard, but after much personal debate...I got it. And I have to say that I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED!!! I mean it's only a keyboard but it works great and I have had none of the problems that have been listed. Maybe beginners luck. It started out without any problems and I happen to like the 2 USB ports. I plugged my mouse into it and off I went.
If you're debating between this keyboard and another, you should really give this one a try. It's also very comfortable if you have Carpal Tunnel due to the low profile of the unit.
Maybe a lttle pricey for a keyboard, BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY!

WORKS on MBP (early 2008 at least)

    • Written by from Coquitlam

I have an early 2008 MBP (15", 2.4GHz) and it works fine. Haven't had trouble with any of the USB ports either. I usually use an external hard drive, iPod, flash drive or M-Audio keyboard with the keyboard USB slots and haven't had any problems with them.

The only thing I'd change about it is that you need to use the Fn key to activate the F buttons. I'd prefer it if it were reversed so that you would have to hit the Fn key to change the settings such as brightness of the screen or sound level, etc. It's not that big of a deal; the only time I notice it is when I'm gaming, but you can usually reassign the key shortcuts.

Other than that, it looks real nice, it's easy to clean and I really like the feel of the keys when I'm typing. In fact, my typing seems faster on it when compared to the PC type keyboard I'm using now, at work. I suppose that's a personal preference thing though, so other people might find it difficult to type on.

    Comfortable

    • Written by from East Bethany

I have tendonitis in my wrists from typing improperly for years. Because of the slim nature of the keyboard, it takes little pressure to type, and does not aggravate my tendonitis like the heavy, clunky keyboards on other computers.

I am a new MAC user and I must say this keyboard rocks.

    1. It is virtually quiet.
    2. The USB ports are a big plus.
    3. I like the size. Much smaller then what my DELL's was.
    4. I like the laptop style feel.

Overall this is an amazing little keyboard that just brightens me day to use.

    Simply Put: Amazing

    • Written by from Pomona

Where to start? Short Stroke,Very Good Function Keys, Water Damage and it still works!!! :D First, It feels very good to the touch it's a short stroke touch, so its like the beautiful Apple Laptops. Second all the function keys are very useful, for example I have F13 program with this application to open iTunes. Third, the most amazing thing occurred, I had water spilled on it, the number pad, and Amazing it works 100% perfect, now my advice is not to spill water on it, but if you do, dry it, what i did was a little harsh but hit it softly against the mattress, then with a hair dryer dry the area front and back, in my case it worked Perfectly. Simply Amazing a Keyboard can do that. I LOVE this Keyboard, definitely buy it.

    P.S I Wouldn't write such a long review, if it wasn't good :D

    poor quality, nice design

    • Written by from MÜNCHEN

A beautiful design and it looks impressive on your desk. However, this is not a keyboard for serious work. you can push down a key beyond the touch point without seeing a response. This is unacceptable for a professional user. Especially the return key is a design error.
if you hit this key on its vertical part or a bit off center you often see no response.
The keyboard I bought also had one faulty key ("3") with a wobbling response, an unprecise touch point.
Although I got used to the exrtremely short key hubs, a keyboard with short hub needs to have a precise, reliable touch point, and this keyboard is not precise enough. If you are trained and type fast, you will get annoyed very soon.
