    Total Disappointment!

    • Written by from San Diego

I have a lot of Apple products which I'm very happy with, but this is a total disappointment! I just got it Friday, used it for a couple hours, put it back in the box and am going to return it.
The design is really bad. Apple totally missed the mark with this thing. Its much much too small, its too thin, its not height adjustable, and the keys don't have much give.
It made my back and arm sore. Hopefully, they'll rethink this, and while they're at it, they should seriously think about giving the wireless keyboard a numeric pad.

Why not include a headphone jack port as well?

    • Written by from Chicago

Great keyboard. I love the USB ports to have the mouse directly connected. One cable computer to keyboard, and one cable keyboard to mouse makes it really clean.

Now, please add a headphone jack to it and I won't have this headphone cable all across the desk!

    aggravated carpal tunnel

    • Written by from White Bear Lake

After using the new keyboard for just a couple of weeks I was in so much wrist pain that I had to stop using it. After switching back to my old keyboard, the wrist pain went away. Just a warning for others that may have carpal tunnel issues.

    Brilliant keyboard!!!

    • Written by from San Diego

Apple raises the bar once again. This flat keyboard is another brilliant design from Apple! I purchased the iMac about a month ago as a companion for my MacBook and although, I loved the wireless keyboard that came with it; I needed the numeric keyboard to quickly pay bills and entering the daily spending into my monthly budget. It was easy to adjust to, from the bulky PC keyboards that I am accustom to using at the office. I suggest pairing it with the Magic Mouse.

    Apple Keyboard

    Great Keyboard!!! I love it!!!

It indeed does have a natural feel. It's light and sleek like all Apple Products. I had a iMac but recently bought the new Mac Mini but kept my keyboard and mouse!!

    Don't Listen To The Naysayers!

    • Written by from WEST BOYLSTON

I use an Apple 15" MacBook Pro for one job and use a 17" MacBook Pro (both all aluminum series) for another job and let me tell you, typing, leaning over a desk, and hands resting on the laptop for 12 - 14 hours a day was starting to do a number on my elbows and wrists. I got this keyboard and now I can sit back in my office chair, rest my hands on the arm rests of my chair, and get a lot of work done!

The keyboard feels natural. I don't find that the keys are awkward, depressed too much or hard to navigate. I think the style and design is perfect, key placement is perfect and the number pad is an added plus! The keys are very quite and the keyboard is solid. It's not made of plastic but made out of the same aluminum material used in all of Apple's high-quality products now-a-days....come to think about it, an aluminum ipod would be slammin!!!

Even though it's not wireless, at least now I have an extra USB that I never had before.

I would highly recommend buying this if you type for long periods of time throughout the day.

    Hope this helps anyone!

    WOW!

    • Written by from SAINT ROSE

I love this keyboard. It's the best keyboard I've ever used.
The touch of the keys is perfect. I'm not a typist but I've gotten quick with just 4 fingers. I type faster on this keyboard than any other I've used.
I have 2 minor complaints about it.
One...The function keys are small. I'm used to full sized function keys. The size and lack of grouping of the function keys slows me down.
Two...The built in USB ports are a little difficult to access. It's a little more difficult to get my flash drive connected than on previous Apple keyboards.
I don't use the USB ports very often so it's not a major problem.
All things considered this is my favorite keyboard.

    Apple wired Keyboard

    • Written by from South Lake Tahoe

Love, love, LOVE the new keyboard! I had a spill on my old one (first time for me) & I'm actually glad it happened - I didn't realize the new keyboard was so light and has almost silent key operation. I use the usb side ports for mice & cameras.

    Great product

    • Written by from La Mirada

I type for long periods, and I've had to change to this keyboard since my wrists and hands started hurting from using my mac pro's keyboard, and I'm glad I changed. Less pressure is needed to hit the keys, compared to the mp keyboard, and I've noticed an increase in typing speed. Though I'm still getting used to this keyboard, I think I might need a keyboard pad for my wrists since the keyboard is almost flat against my desk. Delete keys work continuously for me. My only problem is that the USB port (though nicely hidden underneath) gets difficult to disconnect my peripherals from it.

Amazingly low profile and very smooth

I love the 1/4 press keys and the ease of use, and I have had it for more than a year and still love it. I type at least 12 pages a day on this aluminum keyboard and i have never experienced any cramping and my tendinitis never flares up. I find myself wanting to take it to work because the win pc's that we have at work still use the full key bulky keyboards and I'm always getting cramps and my tendinitis is killing me.

Until mac comes out with a keyboard that improves on this one i will never switch back.

Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (not fully working with 10.5.8)

KeyBoard works overall, but the Delete keys can not be held down to perform continuous delete. You have to keep hitting the delete buttons, one letter at a time.

    Excellent keyboard

    • Written by from Yellowknife

I recently replaced the keyboard that came with my computer (it had a run-in with lasagna once) and am entirely impressed by this new thinner, easy-to-use design. I am extremely happy with the feel of the keyboard and it makes typing much easier as you don't have to keep your hands so high off the desk. Will definitely be keeping this keyboard for a long time to come.

At a desk, wired is better than wireless and here's why...

    • Written by from Bedminster

For most Mac users, we delight in the fact that Apple products are SMART and INNOVATIVE. Well, once agan, that is just what THIS FULL KEYBOARD is. It's only as wide, long and thick as a keyboard needs to be. Due to the fact that it 2 has built-in USBs, it automatically comes raised/angled due to their design as compensated underneath the keyboard (so for all of you worried about ergonomic design, the keyboard is titled nicely).

Now, I'm a HUGE advocate of having "extra space" on my desktop, so at first I only wanted the keyboard that's the exact same size/build as my MacBook Pro 13" 's...Much to my surprise, I bought the full wired keyboard because of the additional KEYS [ex: "delete >" (RIGHT) and delete (regular backspace), Arrow keys, sperate numerical pad!!] and they have DEFINITELY come in handy. (pun intended).

If your needs are based on using any external keyboard at your desk (and you the additional keys/features appealing in a full keyboard) get this keyboard over the wireless. It even comes with an extension-cable (that I needed to utilize, in addition it's the regular wire, for the keyboard to reach from under my desk's keyboard tray, up and around to the back of desk and finally to my external monitor's USB plug). As set up in the manner which I have it, the cable NEVER gets in the way and I never even realize that it's there. If you MUST have the keyboard on top your desk, then I can see how a wire would be annoying: both noticeable and in-the-way. Also, if you want to use the keyboard to control your computer for strict multimedia use (say, from your bed or from livingroom couch/table with Apple TV) then the wireless version obviously suits your needs better.

In my opinion, this keyboard is for the desk-worker who will utilize all of it's full features and also doesn't want to worry about batterie in a wireless keyboard. (That said, if Apple ever did make this same full-featured wired keyboard wireLESS, it would be the ultimate for everyone I imagine- but for now, this is what is available, I love it so far and I'm glad that I bought it over the wireless - again, it truly suits all of my desk-working needs and setup, perfectly).

I have gone through 2 of these with multiple and single non-functioning keys. I am not a fan but I like the action in usage. Warranty has been on the first two but when the next one goes out.. i will opt for someone else's product. cannot keep replacing keyboards every less than a year.

    One good, One awful

    • Written by

Bought two of these keyboards back in January. One works fine and would get 4 stars. I don't quite love the "feel" of the keys, but they're not bad. The other has been getting worse and worse at intermittently missing keystrokes and (even worse) intermittently repeating keystrokes ad-infinitum. Will return or replace soon (it's practically unusable now). How long is the warranty? Can't find it anywhere... *sigh* Zero stars for the web-site designer!
