    I love this keyboard!!!

    • Written by from Bloomfield

This keyboard is awesome and quiet too, it even works on my vista. I wasn't sure if I should buy it at first because I was going to use it on a PC but it works just fine. Since it's a Mac keyboard some keys won't work on a PC but as long as the letters and numbers work there's nothing to be afraid of. For those that like a laptop type keyboard I recommend this for either a Mac or PC.

    Very Thin, Love it!

    • Written by from Toledo

The new Apple Keyboard is by far the best keyboard I have EVER used!! It make typing easier, and more fun. The only complaint I have with this keyboard is for some reason I can't get the OPTION key to work when rebooting my mac so I could pick to boot into Windows. As for the no OPTION problem, well just use System Preferences to boot into selected OS or CD/DVD.

However maybe with Leopard it will be perfected. Other than that though this is the BEST keyboard I have seen.

    Keyboard is addicting

    • Written by from Waupun

The keys are addicting. At first, I thought it was a good keyboard. But you don't want to go back to another keyboard.

Function keys are a bit too small. That's a quibble.

The markers on the F and J don't do it for me.

On the whole, the new iTunes function keys are not for me.

No ergonomic curving. A slight curve is achievable.

If you can afford it, this keyboard is good.

    Nice keyboard, sexy looks

    • Written by from Inverness

Like most people before me, I really like the feel of this keyboard. As a longtime user of the old Mac keyboards and a professional designer, though, I feel like they kind of blew the function key design. By doubling up the function of the F7 to F12 keys, they made for a frustrating experience for folks who use keyboard shortcuts and modifier sets in professional applications. I would love to have the preferences for the keyboard be non - global - meaning that when I'm in an application like Photoshop or Flash, the keyboard reverts to software functionality, but when in the finder or other Apple apps, it goes to hardware.

    A great keyboard

    • Written by from Los Angeles

If you find yourself liking typing on a laptop, you will love this keyboard. Fast response. Light touch. You might feel weird for a while but I believe this is a nicely designed keyboard. I gave 4 starts because I can see some people who don't like a laptop keyboard not liking this one.

    Class all by itself

    • Written by from Truckee

First of all, nothing deserves 5 stars because there is no such thing as ultimate perfection, but this darn thing is close. The main complaint you'll read about this keyboard is the difficulty with typing. I really think those reviews were probably written prematurely. I waited a while and now that my wife and I have gotten used to the soft touch and ease with which the keys depress, we're typing like lightening. Before writing a review, give yourself the opportunity to catch up to this keyboard's capabilities. I'm sure you'll agree that this is an amazing keyboard.

Just as in design, where form should always follow function, this review was constructed in a similar way. This keyboard is a beautiful piece of art. I'm concerned for Apple, however, in that they'll probably be stuck with this design until clear touch pad keyboards hit the market. This design can't get much better until the next evolution in functionality.

    Works with PC

    • Written by from Bryn Athyn

This keyboard works with PC. It is a little different than the typical windows keyboard. The atl and windows keys are switched. The numlock key is a little different but it works fine. There are also seven more function keys. All of these differences don't even matter, because the keyboard so so sweet ans thin. I was able to use my wireless mouse receiver in the usb ports on board, but not other things like a webcam. I love the way this keyboard types, and looks. It is also selling at a competitive price to other keyboards like it. The number pad is a must have.

    Slim and Trim

    • Written by from Santee

I love the new keyboard! Great design and wonderful touch for us none typists. Only wish it could have been angled a bit more...or had an option to adjust for personal preference. I also wish the wireless keyboard would have been available in the longer format. I never really liked MAC's compressed options of the shorter keyboard and swore I'd never go back after their last attempt at its design. If you are not typing from across the room and don't mind a cable attached to your monitor...get hooked up to the longer version of the keyboard again! I love it! I'd give it a five if they had made it wireless AND long!

    Amazing!

    • Written by from Rexburg

Not only does it look good, but it's so comfortable to type with! I find myself typing emails just so I can use this keyboard. If you are in need of a new keyboard, this one is highly recommended.
Only drag is the USB ports, Apple still hasn't put a full USB 2.0 hub in their keyboard. If I could plug my iPod into this keyboard it would have received five stars.

    Amazing Keyboard

    • Written by from Pottstown

I absolutely love this keyboard. I was a little weary about spending $50 on a wired keyboard, but I am really glad that I did. The touch on this keyboard is amazing and allows me to type very quickly without having to strain my fingers at all. The media control buttons as well as the single Exposé button (you press Command and Option to invoke the other Exposé displays) are really useful. It also works really well when using it on my lap because it has such a low profile that it feels like I am not actually typing on anything.

My only complaint is that the USB ports are far under the keyboard, so I have to pick it up to plug anything in. This isn't a huge problem, and shouldn't be a reason for someone not to get it.

Who knew a keyboard could be this different?

    • Written by from Little Rock

I had no idea that a keyboard could make this much difference. I actually just bought it because it matched my monitor. I use a MacMini. I came home and downloaded the driver (a bit of a surprise for an apple product) and it worked beautifully. I have my printer running through the side USB slot and have had no problems with the info. I do have one small irritation, however. Because I have limited room for my keyboard and mouse (I'm a researcher), the placement of the USB ports is a little annoying. My printer USB cord interferes with the area I use for my wireless mighty mouse. However, the rest of the product is outstanding!!

    Awesome Design!!!

    • Written by from Los Angeles

Wow, my old wireless keyboard broke today and I got this as a replacement. The design is really cool! The keys are great and it's so thin! The only downers are:

    1. The USB ports on the side ONLY support mice, not flash drives and iPod connectors.
    2. All the USB ports on my mac are full--the iPod dock takes up one, the usb connector to my printer takes up another, and of course this takes up one.
    3. The key layout is a bit odd.

    The good things are:

    1. The keys are cool and the keyboard is really easy to clean
    2. It looks nicer.
    3. I forgot the last one....it was something great though.... oh! i don't have to waste my allowance on batteries for the wireless anymore!

worth the $50 bucks you paid.

and a little something off topic...

you can't stream videos or music on the iPod touch. Apple really needs to fix some bugs!

    WORTH IT

    • Written by from Lufkin

There are reviews on this product that trash how it's made. Saying that there are design flaws. I feel, now that I've had it for about a month now, that I couldn't do without this product. I agree that the keys can sometimes be a little disorienting at times because they are all flat and have no contour. I mean, even the MB's have contoured keys. However, since I do own a MB and cannot find a compatible ten key pad ANYWHERE, this keyboard is a must. I write music using notation software, and the ten key pad is necessary. That reason is enough to make me love this product, but I believe that if you need a small, sleek, and just want a 'futuristic' computer keyboard, THIS IS YOUR KEYBOARD!!!

Solid, large keys, low profile and every key you need

    • Written by from Mississauga

I have to say I was impressed by how thin yet very solid and stable this keyboard is. It is reasonable light without feeling cheap, the keys are what I think of a low press. (IE you have to go down about the same as on a laptop.) The key are clearly labeled without anything fancy. The disappointment is the side usb ports which look like a wonderful place to put you flash drive or other powered in and out devices but it does not support them. :( The other thing I do not understand is why apple did not just put a USB port on the end rather then dangle for usb??? (The dangle is included.)

    Great improvement!

    • Written by from Milwaukee

This keyboard has a faster, lighter touch, especially when compared to the original plastic version, which always seemed to jam laterally. It's similar feeling to my PowerBook keyboard, which I really like. The one "missing" feature: Apple should have sculpted the keys a bit more. These are flat feeling and my finger tips would like a bit more landing zone. Otherwise, we're very pleased!

    it's decent product

    • Written by from Falls Church

I find all the negative reviews odd. I mean sure if you have a preference of keyboard that's one thing, but to call this the "worst keyboard" is quite a stretch. I like it, it feels much more like a laptop keyboard but with a little more space between keys. The keys are sensitive enough that it requites just a little tap. Normal keyboards make me feel like I'm playing "whack-a-mole." Additionally I've seen some people comment about having to "hit the space bar just right." Not sure what that's about as I haven't experienced any problems like that. Long story short... if you like laptop keyboards I think you'll dig this. If not, stick with your "whack-a-mole" keyboard.

    Nice but...

    • Written by from LONDON

I dont understand why Apple changed the F keys layout. Its nice having a little icon for dashboard and All windows, but what about the Desktop and Application windows buttons. Possibly they will not feature in Leopard, but how about a button for spaces?

    Nice with some problems

    • Written by from San Marcos

I love the look and feel. I especially love the upper function keys for dashboard. Apple overlooked a very important shortcut. The option key no longer works when you boot the mac to choose partitions to boot from. This is big for me because I actually use mine as a PC for work. Just a minor one that is big for me. Hopefully they will fix this soon!

    Great, but not perfect.

    • Written by from Riverside

The apple software update did not fix the broken dashboard/exposé keys as it should have, and others are having a similar problem.

The keyboard is one of the best Ive ever used. However, my other gripe with besides the broken Fkeys is that the USB ports a placed in a way that many things like USB Audio adapters or key drives simply won't fit. And the extender cable that apple provides is notched to intentionally prevent using it for any other reason other than to extend the keyboard.

It's a great keyboard, but I'm slightly disappointed in these software/design errors.
