it's a good buy...but...

There's a good bulk of instruments...but many of the drum kits are not all that distinct from each other and contain a lot of the same sounds in different combinations...I've gotten a lot cooler and more extensive sample packs (40 kick drums, 30 snares etc) in .wav format for certain genres (ambient or dnb) in the past for 100 bucks...but it's still a good buy overall.

I'm about to buy this product. One thing people need to know is that these packs are not to be relied on one hundred percent. These are to help people get a good feel of music and try things out. Have fun with them but be sure to use actual instruments and learn music along with the jam packs. And if you are only getting sound out of one side, it's probably because you recorded in stereo and not mono. The great thing about a Mac is that they are nearly fool proof.

When recording your track your recording in mono the default is stereo so to switch press the i icon then details were you see channel 1&2 stereo switch to mono or convert your signal to stereo.
As for this jam pack great for synth stabs drum sounds and great loops pity garage band hasn't got a sequencer to trigger the great Roland 808 & 909 sounds lots of fun for anybody creating dance electro music188 of 368 people found this useful

i think the jampack is brilliant, still getting used to using the garageband though. i have attached a microphone to record vocals, and when i play it bac, it only comes ut of the left speaker???? it only seems to be recording on one of the track volume level bars as well? dont suppose anyone can help?
