    Happy so far!

Needed a replacement for my old Polar. Was a little hesitant to switch brands but my first experience was great. No problem connecting to my phone (iPhone 4s), and heart rate data seems very stable.

    Great Unit

Keeps track of heart rate, distance and calories burned and is very accurate compared to other devices. Excellent training tool and easy to use.

FAIL-FAIL-FAIL, TICKR COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE FOR SERIOUS RUNNER.

    • Written by from Salem

Having used heart rate monitors of one type or another for decades, the concept of using LE Bluetooth in combination with my iPhone appealed. I was persuaded to purchase the original Blue HR by Wahoo in early 2013. I was forgiving of its weaknesses (primarily connectivity and unreliable heart rate transmission) as it was a new concept device. Wahoo as a company proved itself to have questionable customer support as I struggled with Blue HR. But the idea using the iPhone to record heart rate date via Bluetooth was too good to give up and I bit when the TICKR came out. Shame on me. I'm on my second TICKR at this writing, at anything over the 5-6 mile mark and the TICKR stops sending heart rate info to the iPhone. Sometimes the transmission does not last that long, dropping out within the first couple miles. As for customer support it took weeks to get a recognition that the first TICKR was not performing as specified. A second device was shipped from Wahoo that has obvious changes to the strap contact area. Unfortunately this improved performance marginally but the device still drops heart rate data once any distance is logged. If I had to speculate I would think the issue is related to the amount of sweat that occurs on longer runs. But this is only a guess. What is certain is the device fails repeatedly and reliably on any run going over 5-6 miles. Which pretty much makes it useless for any type of training. TICKR used with IOS 7.1.2 with 5S, left and right arm TuneBelt, with and without electro-gel, Wahoo App, Endomondo App. No improvement after resetting phone Bluetooth, deleting apps, reseting TICKR etc. Heart rate data is very important for some athletes and their training programs. I hesitate to think Wahoo takes it very seriously based on my experience with multiple devices over a year and a half's time.

    don't buy this product

    • Written by from Zürich

I purchased the product in the apple store. you can connect it, you can use it, however the connection constantly interrupts during the training. I have found dozens of reviews of this product where customers complain about the issues.

I do not understand how the people here vote 4 or 5 stars since 90% of the users (outside the apple store) complain about the well known issues with that product.

    Works most of the time

Problem when iPhone (6) is in the pouch on the back of my biking jersey. After a while, the Bluetooth looses contact and stops recording data. Solution is to wear phone n a pouch to n front. Not ideal but prevents loss of signal. I'm only 145 lbs so 'body mass' is not the issue.

    Signal Issues...

    • Written by from Aurora

Not a bad product but does lose it's signal during workouts which messes up "average heart rate" calculations.

    Good, intuitive app.

    • Written by from Santa rosa

Considering it as my primary cycling app.
I love that I can hit the lap button at the end of an interval, allowing me to measur the intensity and quality of my intervals. Also like that it keeps my iPhone from 'locking' so I can see my heart rate while training.
This app my replace Strava for me.

    Great reliable product

    • Written by from Belfast

I bought the Tickr looking for a HRM that supported both Bluetooth Smart for my iPhone and Ant+ for my bike computer. It hasn't disappointed. The first time I paired it with the Wahoo app on my phone it automatically detected a firmware update was available which the app transparently downloaded and installed over Bluetooth, very impressive. Once in use the HRM has been reliable across both Bluetooth and Ant+

Overall I have been very impressed with this and other Wahoo products and would definitely buy more of their products

Great Recording HR via TICKR on iPhone

    • Written by from Tucson

My Polar HR monitor broke and I needed to replace it. And now I get to record my HR and workouts via TICKR on my iPhone. Works great so far, pairing nicely with Strava and the Wahoo Fitness app. I went on a 6 hour ride and the battery life of the iPhone was plenty.

Very satisfied, gives lots of good information. Only complaint would be instructions not clear. But customer service is prompt in responding and helpful. I'll buy Wahoo products in the future. Works with iPhone 6 Plus great.

Great App and Device for Calories Burned

    • Written by from Fountain Inn

I use to calculate calories burned by distance, weight, time and incline, but never by my heart rate which is more accurate. This tells you how long you're in the burn, calories burned, time and tracks your course, plus syncs the data to My Fitness Pal and Healrh.

For me this was a great purchase and I would highly recommend.

    Wahoo Tickr

    • Written by from fort leavenworth

The strap tends to shrivel. The one on Wahoo Blue HR was better.
The LED lights are a give away, can be embarrassing at times.
The Tickr did not connect with the Tom Tom Runner. Can be checked.
    Other wise a great piece.

I cannot express how much I LOVE the TICKR

    • Written by from Homestead

I ordered it because it had good reviews and it was in my price range. Well I have been using it for a few days now to do Zumba and I LOVE IT! I don't know why some people were confused, the little pamphlet says to go to their youtube website and watch the video. You wet the straps a little bit and as soon as you put it on, it detects your heart rate. With the app, I customized for Zumba workouts, running workouts, or biking workouts. It's great. It tells me calories burned, which I then add to my fitness pal. You do have to have your phone around for it to detect heart rate since it works with the app. So if you're planning on going running with it alone, you can't. I have an iphone 5c and it works wonderfully. Great product.

    Bike computer-HR monitor

    • Written by from BIRMINGHAM

The bike computer is great. Love it. The heart rate strap stinks. This needs to be revamped. My heart rate on the bike computer screen just blanks out. Have to literally move it around to get it to start working. Then it blanks out again.... and again.... and again. Of course it always does this when I need it most and it royally screws up the average heart rate data. Please rework the strap. Everything else works like a charm.
