    Sounded nice for the few months it worked

    The Bluetooth was never very good. It would only connect to an iPhone or iPad about ten percent of the time, and then if the device got more than about ten feet away, the connection cut in and out.

    Eventually I gave up on Bluetooth and just used it with an audio cable.

    Finally it just died. No lights, no sound.

    It was under warranty, and I appreciated that the local Apple store was willing to allow me to return it.

    We got a Bose SoundLink II to replace it. So far the Bose works great - pairs quickly, sounds good, and I can carry my iPhone or iPad all over the house and the connection holds.

    Looks and Sounds Great...but it stops there

    I had this for less than 4 months and really only use it when I have guests around. The sound is nice and looks great. Unfortunately the bluetooth is spotty at best. You can have the blue tooth sound source right next to it and it'll still cut out after a 15-20 minutes. I thought i could still live it with and connect a sound source via the input...good thought until this past weekend when that too would cut out the sound. It would eventually come back on but only to cut out again. Makes no sense. For $400 you'd think the quality would be better. It's really sad .

    Looks good but bluetooth is terrible.

    I love the look of the speaker and the sound quality but the bluetooth connectivity is terrible. I've tried it with a few different macbooks and iphones and it failed with all of them. The bluetooth loses connectivity or it becomes choppy for no reason.
    If you are looking for a wireless connection from your idevices to the speaker do not buy this marshall. I wish I could return it but i've gone past the 2 weeks return window.

    In short if you want to use the bluetooth to connect to this speaker don't buy it.

    Worked for 7 months only

    Power doesn't turn on and has a ticking sound when the switch is turned on. The sound quality was OK when it worked, but there was a delay in sound when using bluethooth which doesn't make it adequate for watching movies. I bought it only because of the design. I took the decicsion to not have it repaired and get a better speaker instead.

    Dead product, used less than 10 hours.

    I bought my Marshall Stanmore at the Apple Store in Knoxville, Tennessee in November, 2013. It has been lightly used (less than 10 hours total) and kept in its box. After making room on my desk for the speaker to have a long term home, I plugged it in night before last to find that it won't work. It will not turn on, period, not even an LED. I emailed Marshall customer service along with a copy of my Apple Store receipt. Here is their reply:

    "Thanks for contacting us. I am really sorry that you are experiencing issues with your Marshall Speaker. I am afraid that I cannot offer you warranty support for this speaker: the warranty expired in November 2014. The Authorized Service Centre in the US is United Radio and you can contact them directly to make repair arrangements for your speaker. You can get in touch with them through their website, www.unitedradio.com. Please note, all repair and shipping costs will be your responsibility. Thanks, please write again with any further questions or comments. Best regards, Sherri - Customer Support"

    The only previous issue I had with the speaker was last summer when I plugged it in to listen for a while. The Bluetooth quit working for no apparent reason, and the speaker would not respond to any user input. Turning it off and on did nothing. I then turned it off and unplugged it for a few hours, after which it seemed to work normally.

    I bought this product for three reasons: (1) it sounded good, (2) it looked good, and (3) it was not made in the Peoples Republic of China. I wish now I hadn't wasted my money - it is essentially junk at this point. This product is less reliable than British cars. I strongly urge readers to avoid Marshall products like the plague. It won't work, and they won't fix it.

    Don't purchase this item!

    If you're thinking about purchasing this item, please don't! I suggest you but Bose instead. The Bluetooth function of this speaker is really bad, I connect my iPod and as long as I don't move the iPod the sound seems to be okay. However if I start moving my iPod, the connection gets broken and you get delayed sound and it's super super annoying. (that's probably why they are showing this item in apple stores with iPods that are put in mounts and can't be moved around). When it's connected to my mac, the speaker is just giving out a terribly delayed noise, it's not even music anymore, just a creaking annoying sound.

    -if you're planning on just using the audio cable and not the Bluetooth, then you'd get a flawless sound.
